Iron Bowl tickets are $215-290 per person.

That is outrageous.

I could buy 4 really good tvs at 4 family members for that price and be just as satisfied for staying at home.

Maybe lower those prices to about $90 and I could agree in financially logical terms.

I understand the financial
reasoning in hyping/pushing up events, but at least make sure that the actual fans of said events can enjoy the actual event as well in person.

Why triple the price?

Just checked with the Alabama ticket office. Yep. As I expected, they sold out at their face value of $140 long ago. What you are seeing are the asking price from individuals re-selling their tickets. No one tripled the price. It's simply the market of supply and demand

I'm guessing it's pretty straightforward in this case. There's talk of this Bama team being the best ever. True or not, it's going to draw lots of people who want to be able to say they saw that team in person. Never underestimate the value humans put in bragging rights.

Seems like a waste of money to sit in the upper deck with a 24 point spread.

4 tickets for $1,160 for a day in your life =

$423,400 per year if you do that every day.

I don't think that it is worth it.

I can see why the SEC wants to drive up prices for our lowely fans.

If the Iron Bowl was played in Tuscaloosa every day, it'd be dirt cheap. The fact it only occurs once every 2 years is the appeal

That's not how attending football games works, dude.

Do you know how the people selling those tickets (season ticket holders) got them? They spend thousands and thousands every single year on Bama football. God forbid they recoup 100 bucks

How will the coach get paid? Isn't that part of the package to keep the coach at Auburn?

Bama fans will skip their triennial dentist appointment for this game.

I would pay top price for LSU, UGA, Bama and Florida either at home or away.

That would mean paying $90.00 before the game and down to free at gametime.

$270-290 is for suckers.

Jesus.

I could understand paying that to see a good game but Auburn? WTF?
