Those bombs Johnny was dropping on Bama in tight coverage....no way Tebow could pull that off.

Manziel threw 3 ints vs LSU and 2 vs Ole Miss...Tebow threw 2 against Oklahoma in '08 and 2 against Mississippi State in '09. So Manziel has already matched Tebow's CAREER number for games with multiple INTs.

Manziel threw as many INT's in '12 as Tebow threw in '08 and '09 combined.

lol at this thread.

its pretty clear who all only read the ESPN slanted blurb vs who watched the full video for context.

Of course ESPN would leave out all the stuff about how JFF is A Tebow fan and believes he deserves the chacne to prove himself as a QB in the NFL.

So, by comparing apples to apples...if Tebow is completing 46% of his passes as a starter in the NFL...JFF may be able to complete 47%.

While I don't agree with your reasoning as far as a translation to the NFL, 47 > 46. Jff wins.

Yep, as I said, Manziel improved dramatically throughout the year. He was an EXCELLENT passer in the second half of the season. Night and day difference...I know you think I am saying that because I am biased...it is the truth if you go back and watch the tape or look at the stats.

Manziel had a bit of a rocky start at times the first half of the season. Tough to expect a freshman with zero college experience to come in and dominate Florida and LSU right off the bat. They should just be glad they played him when they did.

Any team in the nation is better off trading their starting QB for Johnny Manziel. And A&M is worse trading him for any other QB in the nation.

LSU would have gone undefeated last year with Manziel. And A&M would have struggled to win 6 reg season games with their awful QB.

I'll be ok sticking with the NC winner and the Nation's leading passer in efficiency last year.

You would have beaten us if you had a Johnny clone last year and we had Johnny. I understand that you are perfectly happy winning a NC...I was just arguing that you would have been even better subbing Johnny for McCarron. And A&M would have been lucky to win 6 games with GayJ McCarron last yr.

Johnny wouldn't have played defense in the first quarter.

Maybe, maybe not.

Disagree. Aggies had a ton of talent on offense last year. Great Oline too.

It's all hypothetical so all you're doing is running your mouth like a dumbass about what could've or should've been. Fact is Manziel is a Heisman winner. Great accomplishment especially for a freshman no one saw coming. Fact is, Tebow and McCarron have 2 championships each. Will Manziel do it? Possibly. There's a great chance.

A&M tore Alabama a new a-hole, mainly to the face we weren't playing 5 down. We'll see what happens this year. Until then, people like you are giving what actually seems like a very cool fan base a bad name. Just watch the god damn game and then make your opinion.

1) Tebow came in at the 1 yd line for the fullback dive 1st year. They absolutely did not need him. So shutty about that.

2) JFF would have won it all with that Fla team Tebow led with ease.

3) Tebow wouldnt have done crap with the Aggie team last year.

JFF is better, at least last year.

I think it is pretty safe to say that a great majority (if you leave out the A&M folks - who cannot be objective) of us would take TT over JFF. As a college QB.

I swear I get dumber the more I read the shite y'all post.

It really is remarkable.

GTFO.

Tebow assisted Leak in winning his championship.

It was a stupid comment but he was caught off the cuff, Johnny also is a bit of a douche but that's mainly his confidence is off the charts.

Tebow was an amazing college QB, truly something to behold. It is ridiculous though to credit him with 2 NC's when he was a backup that barely played in the 1st one. Still, at this point he is clearly the better college QB because of his career accomplishments. The fact the JFF still has a chance to be better is a complement to both players abilities.

I don't think it is some revelation though that Tebow doesn't have a great arm. He had some great passing stats but he has struggled mightily in the pros with a slow release and other mechanical issues. Manziel still needs work as well but he is improving noticeably. His release was already pretty quick and his accuracy was very good but he needs to keep working on his follow through and other mechanics to make it at the next level. Oh, and he put on 15lbs since last season already and its all muscle. Some video was put out of him working with Whitfield in Cali a few weeks back and he looked stronger than ever.
