Can one honestly say that on any given down you'd rather have Tebow taking the snap than JFF? I'll give you inside the 5, but nothing else.
Tebow = system QB in Urban pussy arse my heart is hurting must take leave of absence so i can later coach shitty school in yankee arse ohio Meyer's system.

Although this is funny, the same can be said about JFF. I wish we could simulate one year like a video game.

I would think any starting QB in college would hope he's a better passer than Tebow - so that he could play QB at the next level.
That said, I'm all for #JohnnyMassengill.

Yes, I hated Tim in college, but I would take him over JFF every time. Also, one could say the same about JFF except the system isn't as good and the coach is laughably not as good.

Well, going on what I saw against LSU I would go with Tebow on this one. JFF was terrible against LSU. Terrible.

"You put me on the spot," Manziel responded. "I would hope I'm a better passer than Tim Tebow that way I wouldn't have to go into an offseason and work on a lot of mechanics because as a redshirt freshman I tried to work on that before I got to a position where I would be questioned about that."
I can see why he would hope he is a better passer than Tim Tebow...but, his stats would say that he isn't.

Good lord, it smells like pussy on this thread.
I am happy that we have a QB who is competitive enough to say he wants to be better and hopes that he is better. Notice he didn't say that Tebow sucks or anything disrespectful of the guy's game. The butt hurt in here because of an honest answer is beyond stupid.
Let me ask you this; do you want your current QB to be a better passer that Tebow? Do you want your QB to believe that he is a better passer than Tebow?
Maybe Jeff Driskel should come out with a statement to the effect that he tries to improve but not be better than Tebow. That way he won't come under the wrath of Florida fans.

What are you talking about? I answered the question. I didn't harp on getting better or talking about getting better.
Douche vessle Manziel was a douche prior to any comments he made relative to Tim.
He's your douche and you are expected to knight for him.

I think everyone is missing the point. It's not about who had/is having the better college career. It's about being a better passer. Tebow's comp % is about 46% as a starter. As young as JFF is I think you plug him into the Broncos with an OC willing to run what suits him best (same situation Tebow had) them he's completing at a higher percentage with better technique.

Tebow played in an offense that hid his abysmal accuracy well.

I think it is pretty safe to say that a great majority (if you leave out the A&M folks - who cannot be objective) of us would take TT over JFF. As a college QB.
And I think it's pretty safe to say that a great majority of people on the Rant didn't think A&M would come into Tuscaloosa and make you our bitches on national TV either. The track record of most of the users' predictions on here is fricking laughable. For almost an entire year leading up to last season, all we heard was about how hard we were going to get buttf***ed by every team in the SEC and how we'd be lucky to win more than 4 reg season games.
Johnny Manziel can be a douche...probably even half the douche McCarron is at times...and that is a pretty big douche. But you are f-ing nuts if you would rather have Tebow or McCarron over Manziel at QB. Tebow was surrounded by a ton more talent on both sides of the ball, so no comparison there. And if you put McCarron on A&M's team last year, our record is worse...and if you put Johnny on Bama's team last year, they are better.
Can't wait to bend Bama over again this year. Maybe Saban will be so emotional in the postgame presser he will go into mouthbreathing babbling idiot mode and have trouble keeping his nostrils from flaring.

Wait...Compare Tebow's College Stats were to JFF's.
JFF has played 1 season as a reshirt Freshman
Tebow played backup as a True Freshman...if you compared Tebow's first year as a starter and JFF's, you would see the following.
Manziel threw 80 more passes and had 500 more passing yards.
Manziel completed 1.9% more of his passes.
Tebow threw 6 more TDs and threw 3 less INTs.
Tebow averaged 1 more yard per attempt.
Tebows rating was 20 points higher.
So, by comparing apples to apples...if Tebow is completing 46% of his passes as a starter in the NFL...JFF may be able to complete 47%.

Those bombs Johnny was dropping on Bama in tight coverage....no way Tebow could pull that off.
I watched every game at least twice last year. It was clear that Johnny never really had confidence in throwing to a WR who wasn't wide open until the Auburn game, one game after LSU. That was the first game he was really allowed to sling it around downfield. LSU's defense is great, but that Auburn game, and following games, clearly gave him a ton of confidence in his throwing abilities and accuracy. He got exponentially better with each passing game. And he was also better against LSU than he was against Florida, where he was hardly allowed to throw the ball. That's what young players hope to do, get better with each game. A lot of teams would be fine facing the Johnny Manziel you saw against Florida...but not many would want any part of the Johnny that we saw at the end of the season. If you rewatch the LSU game, you will see that he had plenty of opportunities to pass, but he chickened out on some of them because the WR wasn't buck naked on an island.
The kid is going to frustrate a lot of teams this year...again.

Tebow produced at a very high level for 4 years.
Let's see Manziel do something more than have 1 good year.
