The Texas Longhorns are consistently ranked as a blue blood in the sport of college football, yet their achievements on the field over the last 50 years are closer to that of Auburn than they are to Oklahoma or Alabama.

Given resources, money, in state talent, the 3 biggest underachieving programs in CFB are hands down

Texas
aTm
UCLA and at least they have an excuse in that they just don’t care.

Yet outside of 2009 and 2022, they seem to consistently have Bama's number, Bear Bryant never beat Darrell Royal

Don't lump us with these losers. We've more national and conference championships and don't have hollywood has-beens patrolling our sidelines in leather jackets and cowboy hats

Sure.

But that doesn't change the fact that Alabama has won six national championships to Texas's one and 10 conference championships to Texas's four since the beginning of the 1996 season. Alabama is also 2-1 against Texas in that same period.

We aren’t alike in that they love to boast about their football program as if they’re the greatest thing to have ever happened in human history. We don’t brag at all about our program

Is Bama fan mad about their last football game vs TX? or last basketball game? or last baseball game? or last women's softball game? I'm sure there are more. I'm getting confused here.
But the biggest lol are the aggies showing up in this thread like they have won something

Texas Football has been a blend of some insane coaches, even more insane athletics/university leadership, close calls and a reluctance to cheat at the institutional level.

While we have been a hot mess, we are 8-2-1 against Bama on the field.
