Lol dude shut up. This Georgia team was lucky as shite to win that title. That TD pass off of the offside was a miracle. Against the worst Alabama team in recent memory. And if those Alabama WRs don't go out in either game we probably talking a different story. I would enjoy it will it lasts. It'll be a while before you get another one.

Bama needs 5 star QBs and WRs to win the natty. All Kirby needs is a walk-on and freshmen receivers.

Truly happy for you but it's funny how fast you've forgotten the last two Bama teams beat you with a backup who came off the bench in the second half.

I think it's an open question. What cannot be debated, imo, is the greatest coaching exhibition in CFP history.

Instead, CKS took a former walk-on at QB and won it all. The first time a former walk-on at QB has ever won a national championship as far as I can recall.

In 2014 Urban Meyer won the CFPlayoff with a QB that started zero regular season games in his career.

Saban won the national title with an actual walk-on in 2003, the Cubs paid the bill for Matt Mauck.

Not statistically and that’s with the benefit of their DII teams.

95 Nebraska was the most dominant.

01 Miami was the most talented.

2020 Alabama was clearly superior to 2019 LSU.

The greatest of all time claim was and remains stupid but what else do you expect from that fanbase?

I contend that 1995 Nebraska benefited from an easier path than most Osborne’s other teams and a much easier path than today’s teams.

1. No Switzer. He owned Osborne.
2. No FSU or Miami. Their great defensive fronts always gave Nebraska’s I formation problems.
3. No Orange Bowl stadium. A House of Horrors for Nebraska.
4. No conference championship. This sunk the 1996 Huskers and a lot of other teams through the years.
5. No CFP semifinal. One less hurdle to jump.
6. No rematches against a strong opponent. 2011 LSU might be in this conversation otherwise.
7. No hostile stadiums. Going to Kansas ain’t going to Tiger Stadium.

Based on your own subjective opinion. 1995 Nebraska absolutely ran over the undisputed #2 team in college football - the Florida Gators (62-24) - who themselves ran over the undisputed #3 team in college football - the Tennessee Volunteers - by the score of 62-37. Nebraska played and defeated four teams that finished ranked in the final AP Top 10 poll by the average score of 49-18.

Debating greatest “TEAM” or greatest “Season”?

I get the argument over greatest “team” with Miami…loaded talent and HOF NFL careers is what that is based off of, not that 2001 season.

Greatest Season…it’s LSU and not particularly close.

Alabama had far more good fortune in 2017 than UGA had in 2021. Interceptions bouncing off lineman’s backs, blown coverages, no less than 7 game changing egregious calls. You can put Jerry Rice and Randy Moss out there and if BY doesn’t have a clean pocket it’s not happening.

Kirby is 46 and he’s got an 82ish winning percentage, he’s already won the NC, SECC, and the East 4 of 6 years. He’s 5-1 in bowl games, 3-1 in the CFP, he’s 15-4 against UGA’s 3 biggest historical rivals. He’s had a top 6 recruiting class every year and 5 of the 6 have been top 3 classes. The top class twice.

He’s 8-0 against Lincoln Riley, Dabo Swinney, Brian Kelly, Jimbo Fisher, Matt Rhule, Luke Fickell, & Jim Harbaugh.

If he goes another 12 years before he wins another NC he’ll have the same number as Saban at the same age. But you’re right…it was a huge fluke.

I'll definitely grant you this. As far as most accomplished teams in the history of the sport, 2019 LSU can be argued as #1. But as far as greatest/most dominant - I feel like there is a good argument against them. They're definitely Top 5/10 all-time. But #1? Yeah...I don't agree with that.

That’s absolutely false. They don’t even crack the top 5. Probably not even the top 10.

By all means, make your case/argument of 5 or 10 better seasons.

Please provide Top 5/10 wins, NC, never trailing in 4th and awards. TIA

Here ya go
