It's Burrow, but we are comparing jr tua to 5th year senior burrow.

Tua looked great with three different OCs, but he's not white and he plays for Bama so folks look for everything to tear him down. "He plays with talent."

As a former player I can definitely say that game reps count way more than practice reps in terms of getting better. Look at Joe Burrow year one compared to this year.

IF Tua had played 4 quarters of all his games without the injury’s his numbers would have astronomical.
But if he goes to the nfl and doesn’t learn to throw the ball away on a collapsed play he won’t last long.
His college injury’s were him holding the ball too long or one of his teammates stepping on his ankle.

The big difference between the two is Joe can stay healthy

Tua played 6 full games this year before being injured in the UT game. In those 6 games he threw for 27 tds and 1 interception. In his first 6 games Burrow threw for 25 passes and 3 interceptions. Tua was an elite player from his true freshman year. Burrow had to transfer from Ohio State to get playing time and had one great year. Tua, not Burrow, is the all time ncaa pass efficiency leader.
A healthy Tua is a no brainer but unfortunately he has horrible injury luck.

even your own coach said he'd never seen as quick a release as Tua. That's just one factor.
"I think he’s one of the best college football players, ever,” Orgeron said. "He changed the way we do things in the SEC, he’s one of them. He’s a pioneer. He has a great family. I remember two years years ago when we played them, my first recollection of his first pass. It was the quickest release I had seen in 35 years of football. now you can practice it, but until you see it, it’s something else."

Check that tua was bad vs Clemson. Burrow is better

This didn’t go the way you thought, huh?

same guy said Burrow was the best football player he's ever been around. Using nice things coaches say about players isn't the best evidence to use in an argument. You can do better than that.

Tua was injured vs Clemson. He had surgery after injuring the ankle in the SEC title game. His earlier injury that he incurred vs Arkansas he played on the rest of the year, including against LSU when he was wearing a knee brace. The doctors told him it would heal only with rest, which he got in the offseason. So he played with 2 injuries vs Clemson. The thread title clearly was "Burrow or a healthy Tua"

Not being a homer at all. I would take Burrow. The guy makes NFL throws at the college level. He knows how to extend plays and find the open receiver. He can make plays with his feet when needed. He’s very durable. He can read defenses and knows where to go with the ball. I don’t know if LSU will ever have QB on his level.
