OU is as blue blood as it gets, Bama has the edge with the recent Saban success.

We have a very bad history when population in Florida was very low

It had more to do with having Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer as coaches than it did population. If anything, Urban’s teams shrunk the population.

For the last five years Florida has had ongoing record population yet the Florida Gators have had a losing record in four of those five seasons. Not since Urban has Florida been consistently good. That was 15 years ago - when Florida’s population was 5 million less than it is now. To put that in perspective Florida added more people during that time than the following states had in total population in 2025: Louisiana, Arkansas. Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Kentucky. It has not helped their football program.

I hate Bama but even without Saban, Bama is in a class of their own with Bear Bryant, Gene stallings, frank thomas, and Wallace wade. OU is nowhere near Bama

Considering LSU are very similar in most catagories as us. and Tenn has quite a bit more natties and then both of us...seems reasonable to put them there for their history

I mean

Florida vs LSU: record against- Deadlocked
Florida vs Tenn- 32- 22
LSUVs Tenn- 10-20-3

National Titles: 3 UF, 4 LSU, Tenn 6
SEC titles: 12 LSU UF 9 Tenn 13
Draft picks: LSU: 398 Tenn 363 Florida 380
all-time win percentage: LSU :568 Florida: 572 Tenn: 606

Because no one questions an AP title. I am going off the unanimously agreed on titles. Its not that complicated. To say LSU has 4 titles means including their disputed 2003 title. If LSU gets to include disputed titles then so does Tennessee.
Yeah, you've lost any reasoning there and it's going to troll level.

The AP and UPI were considered the top polls, to rank teams. The BCS poll was created, and used not just to rank teams, but to pair up teams for a title game. The AP was part of, but not the only, part of the BCS poll... but once the title game is played, the polls are secondary. The accepted champ is the winner of the BCS game. Just as now the accepted champ is the winner of the CFB playoff. If Tulane (ranked very low) had won, they would be champs. Doesn't matter what any poll says one way or the other, the title is now decided on the field.

Um...population meant shite when you could not legally pay recruits..it is very much like you are trying to ignore very obvious things...Now it is not about location now, it is about who will pay the most.

Weird how all Florida schools sucked till the 80s..wonder what happened, could it?? Oh that is right, the population increased

Let me help you, you will prob ignore this because you are..well you will ignore it because it makes your point very invalid.

Also keep in mind Florida has 3 programs with multiple national titles in the modern age. We are not like LSU, we actually have schools in the State that have won titles in the modern age.

Very basic logic.

Florida population:
1970: 6.79
1980: 9.8
1990: 12.9
2000: 15.9
2010: 18.5
2020: 21.5

A logical person would easily connect the dots.....but you seem like you struggle to play 5 year olds in Chess.

Claiming and winning are two different things. Oklahoma can lay claim to 2003 and 2008 because of minor selectors but we all know they didn’t win the title.

Money matters now. If you do not invest heavily in NIL now..it is hard to win. If schools like FSU and UF are offering you 350k a year, and Ohio State is offering 600k a year...the choice becomes very easy. Money def talks..or else none of us would work 40 hours a weekish.

Isn't the all-time series equal in wins? Would have to verify but it's close.

Another great SEC rivalry that lost out to stoopid expansion.

Kinda like Bama's 1941 natty claim. Only #3 in their own conference but #1 in your Houlgate hearts.

I don't claim it; I usually just stick with comparing AP/UPI(Coaches)/BCS/Tournament titles. It's universal so no confusion as to who is claiming more/less than the next program.

Sounds like you agree that using claimed mythical titles shouldn't be used as criteria then.

Yep, losing LSU as an annual opponent sucks arse even though y'all have dominated us lately. It's 34-33-3 for LSU all time and 27-26-2 for UF since integration.

Actually LSU has AP titles in 1958
BCS Titles in 2003 and 2007
Playoff title in 2019

Hey, both programs have had great years and absolutely dominated in some years.

Tenn has 13 SEC titles

National titles

LSU has 3

So seems like it is very fair to rank Tenn higher than LSU or UF(which are so so equal in SEC, Natties, etc it is insane)

While I would put the Viles behind us, I would put them ahead of LSU. All time, recent scoreboard, titles.

LSU had a good little run but those days are over. Historically both us and Tennessee have been better.
