Absolutely. Not only that, but if the NCAA uses their new penalty matrix and the charges stick (they likely will), it may be a long, long time before OM recovers from this.

I thought Freeze was a man of God? Yet all he does is lie, lie and lie. He's gonna have to get saved again once this soap opera is over

Nutt dropping bombs. His lawyer says they have the cell phone records showing calls between Freeze and other sports writers.

I had to run out to the country to pay a bill, and I stopped at a Sonic to grab lunch.
Blessed as can be, there was the surprise tater-tot in my order of onion rings.
I thought that I must be the luckiest guy in the world. How could this day get any better?

Then I see this

If that is true, how does Freeze keep his job?

He's received his buyout. On what leg can he stand? The world watched him completely derail a power 5 program in less than five years, and academic fraud happened under his watch, yet it's Ole Miss' fault no notable programs want to go through the shitshow Ole Miss did? Even if everyone from quarterback Shea Patterson to kicker Gary Wunderlich was 100% bought and could blackmail the program with that status, they have far more discipline than the team ever did under Hootie Dale

The important thing that is being missed is that we all need to bow down before our new overlord, @bamagoose525

Gotdamn, the amount of money and effort going into taking down little, ole Ole Miss is truly impressive.

Dragging Nutt into this is a interesting move. Kudos to the coordination

The essential problem Ole Miss faces with this suit is that the entire CFB world saw them do what Nutt is accusing them of doing

I think the only thing "The Blindside" got correct in the movie story was how stupid and weak Hugh Freeze is.

The rest of that story has got to be complete utter horseshite.

He should have been long gone. To be under investigation and then the draft night debacle occur, that is too much. OM should have taken the penalties on the chin, cleaned house, and moved on. This current strategy just delays the inevitable.

I guess Ole Miss is pot committed at this point though. If OM does stick with him through all of this mess, the sanctions will kick in and he'll get fired for the on-field results that will occur.

NCAA sanctions turned USC into a 7 win team. Ole Miss is going to have some 0-8 conference records coming.

What's so stupid about stating the obvious? It was plain to see Nutt did a horrible job running the football program. His on-field success in his first two years was a product of inheriting Orgeron's recruiting classes, and his failure in his last two years was a product of Hootie being Hootie. He completely lost the backing of both the university and his own team less than two full seasons after back to back Cotton Bowls, and he managed to do this before Bjork ever stepped on campus or Freeze had been hired. What's out there that could be said that's worse than having to watch his play calling in 2011? Why would a power 5 school hire a guy that two different SEC schools chased off? Are guys like Nutt, Brady Hoke, Charlie Weiss, etc. entitled to solid job offers even after they've shown that they can't coach?

Let's hope. Bert needs every lifeline if he's going to break that pesky 8 win ceiling.
