It’s honestly shocking that he didn’t run through it. Yeah it’s unnatural to run through home plate on a bang bang play, but MLB players are so technically sound I couldn’t believe it when I saw him slide.

Let’s revisit the recruitment of Bryce Underwood and how the it could be the final nail in the coffin for BK at LSU.
BK assumed Sloan would leave for a coordinator job if he didn’t get promoted after 2023 and Sloan was the primary relationship with a newly committed Underwood. In order to keep Underwood, he lets Denbrock walk and promotes Sloan with the idea that BU comes here and saves everything.
Well now what are we left with? Absolute shite dumpster fire. Would Underwood/Sloan even have worked? Probably not. So far, Sloan’s greatest accomplishment is being tied to BU and he never even got to coach him. Congrats, a high school kid liked you for a few months.
Extremely short-sighted move by BK to promote Sloan in times like this where money will change everything in an instant. Should’ve gone after a real OC with big time experience.

You are right. In the case of the catholic game last night, I do think it was bigger than those 2 fumbles. The crew took the path of least resistance all night. And those 2 plays were a result of that. Anything to keep the clock moving.
On the first fumble, MRA was driving to take a lead with a few minutes left. If the fumble is called, catholic would’ve had to go on a long drive and OT is looming. You think these guys want to stay extra for OT? Nah
