So Nutt can't go to court because he has bad football teams?

Nutt's made some conspiracy-level claim that he can't get a job because the people who came in after he was fired, namely Freeze and Bjork, started some smear campaign to kill his character. Everything bad said about Nutt, except for maybe some stuff related to Saunders, was present as early as the loss to Jacksonville State to open 2010. If Houston wants to know why he doesn't have a job, maybe he should rewatch the 2011 season and ask himself how much of this alleged misinformation was already floating around before he'd even officially been fired. And then Pete Boone's dumb arse let Nutt finish coaching the season after he'd been fired. Really easy for the guy to hold the respect and attention of a team rife with punks at that point

He has a legitimate gripe. They definitely threw him under the bus, while they knew for a fact what they were saying was a flat out lie - all in attempt to deceive some 17 &18 year old kids.

Sad.

I'm not sure an infractions case could be handled more poorly than what OM has done with this. This will likely serve as a case study of what not to do for any future rule breakers.

The allegations reveal an embarrassingly unsophisticated payment scheme directly involving the assistant AD. The head coach publicly dares outsiders to catch him cheating. A PR campaign was orchestrated to blame the former coach (as if that somehow makes the institution no longer responsible). They apparently lie to the investigators and continue cheating during the investigation (they admitted to violations during the course of the investigation, and the lying is evident by the fact that they had to re-open and amend the original NOA and had to seek out other student athletes to refute the information provided by OM). And they have repeatedly (through 'insiders') misled their entire fan base and prospective student-athletes for years over this stuff. Heads will likely roll on this one

Oh and in addition to that it's all happened in probably the most public way possible between the draft night fiasco and this being put out there the day before Freeze and co. have their turn at media days.
