Why has there not been a "move SEC tournament" thread yet? Have I missed it?

I hate the Bham area, but Hoover isn't a bad host site.

Thought we had one already. Maybe it was intermingled with another LSWho? thread.

Hoovah is overrated, but not sure where else would be better.

One of the biggest advocates for it on this board rage quit after A&M went from pre-season #1 to the septic tank.

Hoover is a great host and while there may be nicer stadiums in the SEC footprint for the tournament, Hoover is the better complex. It is a great event that everyone should attend at least once in their lives.

Who was it that always started that thread every year? Farmer maybe? Last baseball season made him quit posting I think, which is a shame. He would really have enjoyed this season.

The head coaches like playing there as it's similar to Omaha's park. Doubt that they have final say so but their feedback probably carries some weight.

I like it being in Hoover. Its the heart of the conference and not a bad drive for the core SEC teams

Seems like Golfer was always pretty adamant about a move but I don't see him much anymore.

it really is the best locale for all the teams
plenty of hotels and nice setup overall for a tournament with this many teams

if it's not broke, why change it

I doubt anywhere else could do a better job overall

It's fine where it is. No need to move it. Central location is important for fans.

Because it doesn't need to move. There's no better place to have it. It's pretty much perfect where it is.

Yeah, we don't go anymore since we quit RVing but it was my favorite week of the year. It was comfortable enough of a stadium but the RV park was our attraction. We miss it, for sure.

Hoover is literally in the middle of the conference's footprint.

It's the ideal location.

The Big 12 proved last season that a conference tournament should not be played in a MLB stadium.

It is my first year to go there and I don’t get the complaining. It is a nice ball park, easy access, great surrounding neighborhood, plenty of nearby restaurants and hotels, plenty of policemen to direct traffic, it’s a pretty setting, etc. The city of Hoover seems to go way out of the way to make it a good experience.

I bet most of those that complain have never been and wouldn’t go to whatever the other options are either if it were moved.
