It ended a lot better than I thought it would. Kind of wish it wouldn't have. I'm ready for Napier to hit the road.

I said 9-3 regular season would be reasonably good but a new staff and Jalen Milroe. I’m pretty sure I posted the same thing on this board too

RBs have been disappointing.

Nate Frazier has been a breath of fresh air. It sucks that BRob & RodRob have been hurt, but it happens.

I figured Etienne would be the bellcow that Frazier has become.

LSU hit a rough stretch with Aggies tide and gators and that was the season

USC was disappointing to open but lsu could have survived that loss had they played better second half of Aggies and entire Fla game

Incredibly happy. Dylan Sampson & the defense were exceptional most of the season. Nico is the first freshman in Tennessee history to win 10 regular season games. And he was very much finding himself through out the season and has a ton of room to grow. Wins over our biggest rivals in Alabama & Florida. Most importantly we're headed to the playoffs.

Tennessee also finished with 30 wins over the last 3 seasons for the first time in decades. Happy with the season and the future outlook with Heupel

The last 2 years were pretty big for Tennessee IMHO because Heupel has established a pretty solid floor, and it's really damn high. Especially after the 10 years before that for Tennessee.

This may surprise some of you, but I'm both thrilled and slightly disappointed.

Our defense has wildly exceeded my expectations. We lost our two big boys who were a huge part of making teams one dimensional by pretty much shutting down any consistent running game, yet the next men up combined with a couple portal additions have stepped in and done the same for the most part. Where we have improved vastly is Edge rushers and backfield. We have 3-4 edge guys who can harass the QB like never before, and we may have the best overall pass defense I've ever seen wearing burnt orange. Defense gets a solid A.

The disappointment comes with the offense. I know Quinn can make all the throws because I've seen him do it over the past 3 years, but he can't stay healthy enough to be consistent. This season his big injury wasn't even contact related..he pulled an abdominal muscle throwing a deep ball to our TE (who has been great btw) and ever since then his deep ball has been hit or miss. Before the season started I thought our offense had potential for 30+ points every game, but we've only exceeded that a couple times in conference play. Of course having two RB's out before we ever played a game and now our two best WR (Bond and Moore) being hobbled the past 3 games hasn't helped, but we should have beaten aggy by at least 3 scores. Our running game lately has come on, but that's due to Tre Wisner playing like a wild man and our vaunted O-line finally figuring out how to run block. B+ with a lot of room for improvement in the next two guaranteed games.

Overall I'd have to give this team a B+. Inconsistencies on both offense and special teams are the only thing keeping me from giving an A.

Well said. Heupel has broughten some much needed stability to a down trodden program. The offense wasn't what we were hoping for this season, but he answered the question on whether or not his teams can play defense.

We did not block or tackle well.

Other than that, we were fairly mediocre.

I honestly thought Etienne would have thrived behind yalls O line. He did respectably well at UF and the jump wasn’t as big as I figured it would have been.

Fantastic

Will forever be a "What could have been" season, but nothing to hang our heads about. Hopefully we can build off of it and not have it just be a flash in the pan outlier.

C+ because of spitting the bit against UGA and Quinn’s development stalling out and even regressing a half step.

We have too many weapons and should be #1 and UO #2 as the two lone undefeateds, but we have a chance to rectify that lone hiccup Saturday.

If we beat UGA I’ll give it a B+
If we blow UGA out it’s an A

If we lose it’s a C- and we had better figure something out in short order.

If the incomprehensible happens and we lose three times to UGA in a single season; F.

Don’t disagree with anything you said but I’m afraid this is the new normal for good teams going forward.

Texas and A&M fans need to learn how to make your posts more concise. Not going to waste my time reading that.

Honestly one of the most frustrating seasons ever.

I really think we’re were a lot better than 5-7. Probably more of a 8-4 team. But I’ve never seen a team just find ways to lose games like this year.

Usually when we suck, we just flat out suck.
