Pretty obvious anyone from the “old” SEC doesn’t want Texas, A&M, Mizzou, Arkansas or OU on their permanent rival list. Someone folks are gonna be pissed when the schedules come out.
As an OU fan, the only team I care about being permanent is Texas.

I’m willing to chalk it up to your lack of knowledge rather than a knowing falsehood, but you keep doubling down in an attempt to change the subject, which makes me think you simply don’t care if you spout lies as long as they fit your narrative.
You complained about playing Missouri only 17 times. Well it’s more than 4 times the amount of time we played oklahoma.

I hear ya. That schedule is trying to maintain rivalries. And it's only semi-sucessful at that. I'm not sure it's possible to maintain both rivalries and strength of schedule parity.

Florida, LSU and Tennessee only play one other Big 6 team each in that setup. That’s pretty bad.
P1 - Big 6
P2 - G
P3 - H
Big 6 or Big 6
Big 6 or Big 6
Texas or Oklahoma
A or B
C or D
E or F
It still has 3 Big 6 + TX/OU each year.. everyone will play a pretty similar schedule
It’s a 1 game difference every 2 years..

Not pissed at anything SDS posts, but having OU with LSU and not Ole Miss is just brainless.
So I think LSU will go either 9-3 or 8-4 this season. Would you call me delusional?

You are so LSUsessed that you came unprompted into a thread about permanent rivalry games and responded to a post that was not addressed to you to randomly drive by and give your LSU record prediction.
Brian Kelly and LSU own your brain

Why is there this narrative that OU “must” play A&M? There’s minimal history between these two programs.
Give me LSU or someone else that’s not a Big 12 alum - for the sake of both of our fanbases.

okay ill bite. Mizzou and UK for carolina are really meh. Obviously in no world do we get what would want (UT, UGA, UF )
Agreed..Mizzou needs to play someone other than our south carolina biatches. Tired of owning them in both football and basketball. Pretty boring school.....yuck

me...because frick not playing Ole Miss every year. they already took away State. Plus WTF...why did LSU, BAMA, UF do to deserve harder schedules than the god damn Texas schools? Why the frick do you have OU with LSU, we way more history with every other school in the conference.
frick the texas schools and catering to them. frick texas and frick A&M. they should have the hardest schedules.

thank you. Our one true real long time rival in the conference and these douchebags want to take it away.

im ok with that, not sure Bama will be though as they kind of get fricked but it maintains all their historic games but MS State. As an LSU fan I would prefer A&M to arky but im ok with either.
much better than the OP because in no world should LSU and Ole Miss not play

No you didn't. You didn't "point out" anything. You said 17 games.
I used that knowledge. Fact is nobody likes aggy or respects them. Think about that while you sitting in texas traffic later

I still like the idea of 4 groups of 4. That gives you 3 permanent common opponents. Then, assign 1 permanent cross group opponent from each of the other 3 groups - which then gives a total of 6 permanent rivals. Alternating the groups in scheduling year after year allows every team to play every other team at least every 3rd year. So 6 permanents, 9 others that you play once every 3 years. 6 permanents allows for preservation of almost all traditional rivalries, and allows for somewhat regional groupings for travelling fans. The downside is it is a little confusing/complicated - and only seeing some schools only 3 years (which is better than now, but not every other year under the new 3 perm opponents system)
Year 1 - G1:G2, G3:G4
Year 2 - G1:G3, G2:G4
Year 3 - G1:G4, G2:G3
repeat...for Y4 and going forward
I am NOT saying we should be using pods/divisions/pools to structure divisions or anything like that - just a way to create some consistency in scheduling and preserve some of the key rivalries. I guess you could dynamically create 2 "divisions" each year if you wanted, but that sounds too much like a soccer tournament.
Here is an example (I'm sure this could be improved)...
in this example - take SC for example this would be their schedule by year...
Y1 - Bama, Miss St. Aub, Tenn, Fla, Ga, UK, aTm, Mizz
Y2 - Bama, Miss St., Aub, Mizz, OU, Ark, Vandy, Ga, aTm
Y3 - Bama, Miss St. Aub, TX, LSU, aTm, Ole Miss, Ga, Mizz
repeat
Year 1 - G1:G2, G3:G4
Year 2 - G1:G3, G2:G4
Year 3 - G1:G4, G2:G3
repeat...for Y4 and going forward

Good point. If they could only have them play 6 other conference games each year, that might give them an chance to even out the schedule. But alas...they aren't ever going to make them play 9 confer....wait...they're what??? Nevermind.

If OU doesn't play the Cowboys on rivalry weekend, they can play Mizzou, and LSU can play Arkansas.
The Cowboys?
That series ended when OU left the Big-12. OU has no incentive to renew it.
OU has no rivalry with Midzou. Only in the minds of the Midzou fans. We dominate that series.
I would much rather establish an annual Thanksgiving weekend rivalry with LSU than with Midzou. I would take Arkansas as 2nd choice, but an annual Thanksgiving meeting with LSU will be more meaningful.
