I don’t know of any dealership that doesn’t have an extensive sit down with someone who purchases a Corvette. Mine took me on a test drive and the dealership owner showed me the trouble you can get into with one such as punching it on a right hand turn is one that arse end will be in front of you before you can blink.

I knew every time I got into that car the responsibilities involved and to give the car the respect it deserved.

You have about a 1% chance of survival in a crash at 90mph. I don’t know how fast it was at impact the computer in it will tell but, this guy was not the typical sports car enthusiast he had pockets full of cash, testosterone and boundless stupidity.

Like I said his life is over in this world nothing he can ever do will fix this fuk up it’s a capital fuk up.

How many times will this same story be repeated by new money idiots who have no grounded morals?

Just tragic for all involved now he lives with it.

You're the one that compared it to sex trafficking. Or at least agreed with someone that did.

It seemed as though you were saying since sex traffickers get away with less time than Ruggs is potentially facing for killing someone, sentencing him to a long prison term doesn't benefit society. Or at least agreed with someone that did.

Talk about a stupid argument.
If this isn't what you meant them I'm sorry. But you're still stupid.
No, jaywalking shouldn't be a crime associated with prison time? How old are you? 12?

How long should sex traffickers get if found guilty? 30 days? 60?
What amount of time pays that kind of debt to society?

This guy deserves anything they throw at him.

quote:

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was incoherent and combative after the high-speed DUI crash that killed a young woman—trying to pull out his IVs at the hospital and screaming at cops, according to a police report.

“Get me the **** out of here,” Ruggs, 22, yelled while being treated at University Medical Center, saying the report obtained by Las Vegas TV station KLAS.

He’ll be out in 15 years with good behavior and then welcomed back to Tuscaloosa for the 20th anniversary of the 2017 National Champion team.

One more thing:

Sports car enthusiast and Corvette owners in general are good people. These things cost a lot of money and we all for the most part baby them almost like pets.
I was a member of the now defunct Peach State Posse and learned so much from other enthusiast. We held charity rides and even had Police escorts on runs back in the day.

Sure, I broke the law on a few occasions but mitigated risk to not involve innocents.

This man got his hands on one and took the devil into his heart and reaped the whirl wind.

My car before it was sold in the last years only took on less than a thousand miles a year. Why? Because it begged at my soul to run with comets but, you have to hold the internal fortitude to tame the beast.

This clown just shite on all real sports car enthusiast and made a weapon out of his.

The first responders heard screams coming from the vehicle as Tina Tintor, 23, was burnt alive in her wrecked vehicle.

No one should make light of this situation. Some will say Henry Ruggs should get less time. Some will use it as a chance to dunk on Ruggs and Alabama.

You are 100% correct.

The University of Alabama is no more responsible for this mayhem than the USMC is for an inactive discharged service member.

But, the media always makes or tries to let you know the alleged was a member in these type of settings a former member.

This guy was an adult and an accomplished athlete but a fricking clown in every aspect of his life outside of sports.

What a fricking stooge. You have fewer brain cells than the head of cabbage in my fridge.

Seriously...have you always been this fricking stupid? Or is it the meth or crack?

Actually...you may have a valid point. Your pathetic life probably isn't worth 5 years.

Public roads are not designed for people to drive 150 mph. No excuse for it. Hopefully he spends those 26 years talking to kids about the consequences of being negligent and irresponsible.

If I was that family of the woman killed, I would request they give him house arrest for 10 years and the only place he can go is to work (football field) and he would owe us 90% of his earnings. My reasoning is having him locked up won’t bring our loved one back and restitution won’t be able to be paid with him being in jail.

I have driven drunk more times than I care to remember in my youth but even at my drunkest never did I consider driving 150 mph. That greatly increases your odds of something really bad happening

Fully agree!!!

We have all glanced at our phone while driving Which is a mistake. There is a difference between a mistake and what he did. I’m getting tired of these press agents, and people who defend these type of actions, describing acts such as murder, rape or this, or beating a woman as a mistake, blah blah blah, everyone makes mistakes. It’s BS, mistakes are minor and don’t destroy lives or end them. I feel bad for him too because he is beyond ignorant and he brought this all on himself. Self Accountability !!!!! He did this and made it happen, it didn’t happen upon him, there is a big difference.

What Ruggs did is moronically stupid and dangerous to society around him. Going 156mph, he was traveling at 110mph over that streets speed limit when he made impact. 110mph over!

The poor young woman was burned alive. Rescuers attempted to get her out but flames pushed them away and prevented her being saved. They could hear her screams as she was burned alive through the smoke. Simply horrific.
