Why don’t we discuss his resume instead of throwing around personal insults? I’m sure Durkin has done something impressive in his 7 year HC/DC career that I’m not aware of, right? Why don’t you tell me how great Texas A&M and your DC are rather than insulting me? It can’t be because y’all know that both your program and Durkin are fricking trash so y’all have to resort to completely off topic bullshite right?

What’s your issue with DJ Durkin?
His defenses’ ranks in Yards per play (As DC):
Ole Miss:
2021: #61
2020: #115
Florida:
2014: #5
2013: #42
Michigan:
2015: #5
2014: #14 (before he was DC)
Bottom line: His defenses improved every year he was there. He has coached Top 5 defensive teams. He now has Top 5 defensive talent at Texas A&M.
Do I think he is as good schematically as Mike Elko? No. I think Elko was the best in the game, particularly at in game adjustments. However, Elko’s defenses usually came out kind of flat and then were playing lights out by the end of the game. Durkin will be more aggressive and bring more intensity as a coach.
We will see how it works out but you act like we hired the worst DC imaginable when he was one of the best available.

King has next to zero game speed experience. What are y'all seeing that gives you so much confidence in him?

He’s performing at a high level in Fall camp, and he clearly has some special tools and athleticism.

I haven’t seen much from practice at all with my own two eyes. I’m just going off of reports from people who have. I have just heard that King has pulled slightly ahead of Max in the QB battle. King has 4.4 speed and has a good arm (not elite, but plenty good enough for the college game). His problems (in very limited action) have been his decision making and deep ball accuracy. If he were to fix these problems, he has tremendous upside.
If Jimbo runs the RPO more this year (which I think he will due to having actual QB depth) I think he can be really dangerous as a running threat.

I'd take our O-Line over theirs any day (and our QB).
And our LB, and our RB. Hell, pretty much would take our position group over there's except for the D-Line and maybe CB.

BK is probably a pretty good coach. He has never won the big game but had a pretty good record at ND, even though ND never has really accomplished much. He is somewhat weird with the whole grinding thing.
Jimbo has won a natty at FSU. He has had a winning record every year he has been at A&M. A&M has been invited to a bowl game every year he has been our coach including an Orange Bowl win. He is 2-2 against LoSerU since he became our coach. He called out Saban last year then beat him. He has had good recruiting classes and last year broke the all time record with the #1 class. He should have us in the playoffs in the next year or two.
Durkin is an assistant coach who will work within Jimbo's system. Have you ever played for or coached with Durkin? No? Then you really do not have any idea what you are talking about and look extremely stupid calling him trash, etc. Jimbo has known him for years. I would trust Jimbo's opinion of him over some triggered LoSerU fan on the rant.
Every Aggie fan out there wishes that you could hire the right coach and be in the playoffs a couple of years later. That just is not very realistic. If Jimbo does not get progressively better over the next couple of years, I doubt he will remain our head coach until the end of his contract.

I am pretty excited about this line.
Foster(C) and Fatheree(RT); both got baptized by the fire while playing as true freshmen last year. By the end of the season, they were pretty dang good. I expect them to continue that growth. Robinson is a preseason All-American. Zuhn is getting rave reviews in camp (LT).
