He threw 39 career passes in 4 years, all in mop up duty.

But beyond that yes they are very different. As a true freshman you are adjusting to everything including life in college.

You think a transfer isn't adjusting just as much?

As a backup you've already learned how camp goes, how the game weeks go, how to practice, etc particularly when you are coming from one good program to another.

These things all vary greatly from one program to the next.

It was a bad game. He routinely overthrow wide open receivers and two of the picks were just bad QB mistakes.

He has a lot to prove IMO.

I don't understand the 2019 Aranda comment. Aranda is/was an incredible coach. He should be the HC not pedo kelly right now.

Alright. I have no clue what you’re talking about so clearly you didn’t understand the comment or you’re butthurt about the fact that I’m pointing out your massive downgrade at DC so you’re looking for something to be petty about. No one with half a brain would’ve hired a first-time head coach over BK.

But after striking out on Jimbo and others woody had to go get a "big" name to save face

Because every major publication that just ranked Kelly as a far superior HC to Jimbo agrees with your dumb arse take, right?

More evidence that people who went to A&M are too stupid to go to UT. If you weren’t a total dipshit and actually watched LSU in 2019, you’d know that our defense improved big time over the course of the year I.E. the “lockdown defense through the last 5 games” comment, which you’d think you’d remember considering we skullfricked y’all 50-7 and that awesome Jimbo Fisher offense had like 100 yards on the game.

No one with half a brain would have hired a 60 year old fraud with zero major bowl wins at Notre Dame to one of the most expensive contracts in college football, but LSU did. Aranda accomplished more in 2 years than BK did in 10+ at ND.

Who was a better candidate for a major roster rebuild?

Dave Aranda turned a 2-7 team into a 12-2 team in 1 year. He has also coached and recruited at LSU and is 15 years younger than Brian Kelly.

That’s why he’s shitting all over A&M and Jimbo in recruiting right? I forgot that Woodward left y’all at the altar for daddy so y’all have a bizarre obsession with trying to prove that he somehow didn’t make a good hire when it was the biggest pull since Alabama hired Saban. I’m guessing guys like Matt House and Jamar Cain were bad hires too huh?

And since BK is so bad, how many times has Jimbo made the playoffs? How many times has Jimbo even won 10 games at A&M? He has DJ Durkin at DC, lazy moron shitbags like Tommie Robinson and Demeyune Craig at extremely important positions, and your program is somehow on the decline from Jimbo’s peak of 8-4.

The preseason #5 ranking is going to be A&M biggest accomplishment for the next 20 years while Jimbo destroys your culture and leaves you as a poor man’s Florida State while Daddy UT comes to the SEC and makes you run like from them again like the little figs you are.

Well ok, that's the last piece of information I need to predict aTm's record. I'll go with 8&4.

I like Dave Aranda and actually did want him but he's only been a head coach for two seasons and has never actually "built" a program.

You said he "turned a 2-7 team into a 12-2 team in 1 year." You left out the fact that they went 11-3 the year prior to him being hired and appeared in the Sugar Bowl.

Not sure why Aranda or Kelly's age is a factor...

Kelly has a long track record of winning, at many different stops. He's gonna win, and win big. Baylor ain't LSU.

Brian Kelly’s biggest bowl win in over a decade at Notre Dame was the Pinstripe Bowl.

We signed more 5 stars last cycle than BK will likely sign over the next 4 years.

Likely true as it seems that every 5 star who commits to LSU is immediately downgraded.

A&M too. Anthony Hill committed to A&M, Darion Gullette commits to Texas. All of a sudden Gullette is On3’s top ranked LB. Gullette is out with a knee injury and hasn’t been to a camp or practiced in probably 6 months. Wonder how that happens.

Not sure, both Will Campbell and Walker Howard were downgraded last cycle.

Now, Jalen Brown and Shelton Sampson have been downgraded, each roughly a week after committing.

That’s because their previous HC bolted and they lost a lot of talent. The cupboard was bare when Aranda got there.

Because if Aranda ends up being an elite coach you have your guy for the next 2 decades. Kelly would be one of the oldest head coaches to win their first national championship, if he does. I just don’t see him being the answer longer than 5 years.
