College football has ALWAYS been largely about which schools and alumni bases were willing and able to spend the money. Always.

In what way do you know this? Or you just believe everything you hear?

TexAgs released a long video breaking down the commitment at the same time he announced.

Maybe it’s you who believes everything you hear.

A&M knew ahead of time, but they did a great job keeping it under tabs.
Didn't they do the same thing for Brandon Jones?

If the kid was a Dallas kid, it would raise more of an eyebrow because OU has owned us in Dallas for a long time until just recently.

Not hammering you but he was a DFW kid. His dad was a coach at Allen before getting a coaching job at Katy Paetow.

In other words, the Dallas ties were strong.

A&M led for 5 years for Hicks. It was considered 50-50 for 2 months.

Hicks told his hs staff, a recruit buddy, and texags a week ago it was a&m.

He had custom video game style announcement already made for A&M, and texags immediately posted a video interview previously recorded.

This 30 min stuff is all bs, OU beat guys whiffed, and they're throwing shite against the wall to make themselves look like they weren't wrong.

This sums it all up nicely.

No, they did not. One was an analysis of his commitment, and the other was a documentary style video about Jones.

Can't stand the posters over there but I have a TexAgs subscription for the content provided. I know this because I got a text from TexAgs right after the commitment and was watching the pre made video moments after the announcement.

I think the funniest part of this is the pearl clutching on the part of OU fans. The cognitive dissonance of that crowd is stunning.

I will say the portal has somewhat evened the playing field for smaller schools to pull in more talent to compete.

Guys have always been paid. It's just legal now. It has evened the playing field now that every school can do it instead of the select few who knew how to get away with it or who controlled the NCAA investigators.

Maybe it had something to do with chokelahoma getting their arse beat on national tv by KSU last week. Talk about embarrassing.

It could also be that blowU can't seem to win a playoff game

Sooner schooner

KSU . . . . .KU is currently undefeated and I will laugh endlessly if Venables gets rolled by both Kansas teams.

They need to quit wasting all that money on DL and find a QB. They have plenty of highly rated D linemen. That offense is the problem.

We got one. He's still wet behind the ears so Max will have to do until he grows some hair on his chest.

That's what makes this so fricking perfect.

They got played and they deserved it.

Really? If so, then why did Hicks tell them he was still going to OU shortly before the announcement? Was he being conspiratorial in deceiving OU that he was going there after all this time?

Inquiring minds want to know (I'm one of 'em).

A lot of people don't like to tell people "NO". It happens all the time. If you have a bunch of people from OU pressuring you and asking you if you are going there and you don't like conflict, you tell them "yes". There are freaking self help books out there that teach people how to say "no". Why is that so hard to grasp?

OU writers always think they are getting any kid they want. Doesn't surprise me they are shocked someone didn't pick OU.

Hell they’re still struggling to accept that USC took their coach.

So are hard commits, until the ink is dry, and even then they can pack a bag and portal away.

Yes but if they are really a silent commit why do so many know about it?

Agree as well until they sign but at least they made it public.

The SEC should never have let these people join the conference. That was a big mistake for the integrity of the SEC, if nothing else.
