You know that Saban is so disappointed in this fanbase.
All he ever preached was to not leave the game in the hand of the refs.
Only losers complain after the game about elements outside of their control.
It is ironic how the greatest to ever coach the game leaves and the fanbase melts like snowflakes immediately.
Every time they lose, they're here blathering about officiating and injuries.

Nice melt.
Anyways continue celebrating how your QB had to almost be perfect while getting significant referee help to crawl out with a 3 point win.

Gunner Stockton is the best QB in the sec, end of discussion. He knows how to manage and win ballgames.

There is no defense for a perfectly thrown football and Stockton was dialed in and dropping dimes.

Alabama does hold the Guiness Book of World Record for college football losses due to injury: 346
Greatness in Tuscaloosa.

I mean that's high praise. Sounds like Stetson Bennett version 2.0, which I don't know a Georgia fan alive wouldn't be happy with
I think he's a better version of Bennett. He looks "thicker" and able to run the ball with more power. I don't know if he's got aspirations of playing in the NFL but Bennett made an NFL roster, so I don't see why he couldn't either.

That's what you call being "in the zone". Hell, he was so zoned in he could have turn around backwards, closed his eyes and spun around and threw it and it would have been a completion. When it's your night, it's your night.

It’s not an excuse…..
The OP presented “9/10 on third down”
If I’m a rival fan reading that, then I would be under the assumption that he CONVERTED 9/10 3rd downs on pass attempts.
When in reality he only completed 5 such passes to move the sticks, and Georgia finished the game 7/13 on 3rd down, which is identical to Bama

Stetson had the best short shuttle time in his combine class.
There are things which are better for Gunner than Stetson. But Stetson is more elusive and that is why he is QB #2 right now in LA. You can spend 10 years in the NFL as QB#2.
I dont currently see Gunner as QB#2 in the NFL outside of someone else's injury.

Are you as critical of Alabama post-game as you are of Gunner?
Of all the things to prioritize, Gunner's pass efficiency vs UGAs 3rd down efficiency would typically be low on the list after losing a night home game.

FooManChoo
Rewatched the game and UGA should be commended for stringing together long drives, it’s excellent OL play and protection, and the way Peanut and Bo ran the ball. That was maybe the best OL blocking I’ve seen by the Dawgs against a high-caliber opponent in my ~30 years of watching.
Also, Stockton’s composure and toughness can’t be overstated. And he plays at a high level under stress. His “game manager” performance and knowing when to push and call his own number is dialed in: he knows how to bet on himself with the ball in his hands and win more often than not.
That said,
UGA had a bunch of poor tackling and not wrapping up occasions that allowed Bama to convert first downs and drive the field. KJ Bolden is pretty undisciplined, but his athleticism is masking it at the moment. Gabe Harris giving up on Keelon in the open field on his 21-yd gain; there’s no excuse for jogging through a play and giving up.
The lack of care of the football should have been a killer…I guess dogs also have 9 lives however. Stockton’s INT (it hit defenders hand and then elbow, and not the ground either time), Stockton’s tight throws (most were ill-advised—and the timing of most of them being on 3rd-and-long was nauseating—yet every one of them was converted), Sacovie had 2 bad special teams decisions on punts, UGA’s recovery of the botched punt, and Peal’s fumble self-recovery.
Obviously the missed calls were unfortunate to distracting from a great game: the DPI on KJ and KJ’s targeting on RCW (while inadvertent) (and the massed facemask while we’re on it), were all calls you’d like to see in a high-quality game.
I do think a few things can be true:
• UGA may have a higher floor, but Bama’s ceiling matched quality of play UGA had out there and the teams were equal
• The team that wanted it more won
• Nevertheless, the breaks that went UGA’s way (both the lucky ones and the missed calls) were critical to UGA winning, and I don’t believe they win without most of those going in their favor
• I DO want to play Bama again, as I think we’d be better the next time around from a discipline and scheme perspective, as I think UGA’s ultimate ceiling is higher
Hope to see you in the SECCG

Defensively since the Kentucky second half Bama has not been the same team IMO.Teams are going after #5 Lee big time and Georgia made bank doing it.
Someone has opportunities in our secondary as players have not gotten the job done back there and we have really good younger players that should get a look they cant do worse.

Stetson is sort of the prototypical NFL backup. Willing to work, High Football IQ, tough. I hope he gets a shot one day but yes, he is the sort that will have a good career as a backup. I will say Kirby has way more success with the guys that may not have the 5 star attributes, but are tough and want to be Dawgs above all else. Of the last 3 Beck was probably the most physically talented, but...

It is semantics.
But I would say that Gunner is your prototypical 3 year NFL backup.
Longer if he wants to take opportunities on practice squads.
Stetson has become the prototypical career backup. This offseason is a big one for him. And if I am wrong, I am wrong. But I see him sticking in the league as long as his legs can carry him away from defensive ends and blitzing linebackers.
