I'm trying not to look ahead because there is a lot of football left to be played. If we can make it back to Atlanta then it is a great season. By some chance we make it past that...then it would be special season. Could we beat Bama? Yes. Could we lose a close game? Yes. Could we get blown out against Bama? Yes.

UGA is perfectly capable of hanging with Bama. Everyone seems to have a wierd inferiority complex when they start talking about playing Bama. They are an outstanding football team, but they are not unbeatable. However, UGA would need to muster a complete game, hitting on all cylinders in all three phases of the game. I feel good about our chances if we meet in Atlanta.

I'd say the line would probably be Bama -5.5, around there
Danny Sheridan said yesterday if the game were to be played right now (meaning yesterday) the line would be Bama -14.5

That seems crazy high.
ETA: I know Bama is really good, but I can't see them as a two touchdown favorite over a legitimate top 5 team.

It is what he said it would be. Other people in his business may or may not disagree.

QB isn't good enough for UGA. Bama won't let the Dawgs run.
UGA's defense is good enough to cause Alabama problems, but if your offense can't do anything you are in trouble giving all that talent the ball over and over.
Now UGA has a chance of course, but they probably need to win the turnover battle and/or have a big play on special teams.

I think that is part of the problem. Is Georgia legit? 1 point win over ND is the only measuring stick we have. The East is incredibly weak. Not that the West is strong but it is clearly better than the East and has been going on 8 years now.

50/50 this is college football anybody any given day . Troy couldn't beat LSU 9/10 but damit if they didn't . I think on paper Bama is better but we are closing that gap

I think we're at about 25% right now. If we continue to improve and we're fully healthy by then (assuming we win the east), I think we'll be upwards of a coin toss.
Pretty much agree with this. Our lack of a pass rush and exposed secondary is what worries me the most. Our OL still has a ways to go and Fromm obviously needs more experience. We should be a pretty even match by the end of the season assuming our injure situation has improved by then.

I agree mostly. A la 40% chance to win. That's less than 60.

Advanced stats say yes. Recruiting rankings back up the talent level and depth. Georgia smoked MSU, which is the only West team they've played, not to mention that the general strength of the division doesn't really have anything to do with Georgia. ND looks to be pretty good, and UGA won that game without playing very clean.

I saw that...I actually think he is right. I think money would go to UGA at that line and it would move down, but given Alabama's recent history and Georgia's first trip to ATL under a new coach, I could see that line happening.
I think that if you only look at on the field product, we're a touchdown underdog though.

If you are basing it just off schedule they are just as legit as Alabama. Florida state blows this year is that your quality win? We both will play Auburn that cancels that out. Tell me how strong the west is with juggernaut Ed O? State and Auburn are the two best teams in the west behind Alabama and we both play them both. UGA already waxed one. ND is better than Florida State right now too. So I don't see or buy your argument one bit

I'd give us about a 25% chance to win if we make it to ATL. I think our D matches up well with Bama O, but Bama D matches up better against our O.

The 2012 SECCG was the best conference championship game ever played. That was the real NC game that year.

Will be hilarious if neither of these teams makes it to Atlanta

Maybe it's a little of that, but I'd say it's mostly CMRPTSD, since we're all still holding our collective breaths, waiting on them to drop a game they shouldn't. The only thing that can combat that is time and results.
For the folks saying that it's Bama walking away with it, unless the Dawgs win the turnover battle and/or special teams scores - well, DUH. Any team can stay in the game if their opponent turns it over enough.
Assuming everyone comes back healthy and at 100%, I'm with the 60/40 Bama folks, but they play the game for a reason. As each week goes on, I like our chances more and more.

With ALL our starters back and healthy, the game is winnable.
Starters isn't where the game will be won or lose. Depth is the key to beating BAMA. Our new offense is rushing oriented and you have to face fresh RB legs every series. I think it'd be a great game but I don't know how deep UGa is on defense.

UGA isn't there yet on the OL.
DB is a slight concern. We don't give up the 65 yard bomb to Bama. But that doesn't mean that Bama can't stretch the field and make some plays.
Struggling on the OL is not a good place to be.

If we get to the SECCG and somehow manage to get by yall, I'd be more worried about the NC game. Y'all would be out for blood
