I think Georgia has what it takes to beat Bama. Bama would definitely be playing motivated, but Georgia would probably be more hungry. It may be one of the best SECCG of all time.

I don't like our chances at all. Anything could happen, though.

Our new offense is rushing oriented and you have to face fresh RB legs every series. I think it'd be a great game but I don't know how deep UGa is on defense.

That works both ways, you know. Our RBs aren't anything to sneeze at.

That said, your DL depth is definitely better. For now.

Really good depth in experience and talent in the front 7. Less depth in the back end. Freshmen make up most of the depth behind the starters at DB.

Danny Sheridan said yesterday if the game were to be played right now (meaning yesterday) the line would be Bama -14.5

I think Alabama would beat us 7 out of 10 times, but if the line were -14.5, I would take Georgia and the points.....if I were a betting man. I just think we can keep it closer than 14.5.

QB isn't good enough for UGA. Bama won't let the Dawgs run.

UGA's defense is good enough to cause Alabama problems, but if your offense can't do anything you are in trouble giving all that talent the ball over and over.

Now UGA has a chance of course, but they probably need to win the turnover battle and/or have a big play on special teams.

A fair evaluation, actually.

With all our starters in the game, depth will not be an issue.

Fromm is good. but he is a true freshman and has made some true freshman mistakes. It happens. He is good, though, but in a SECCG you can't afford mistakes.

Don't know if we can come out with a W, but hide the women and children.

Georgia has the horses at tailback, WR, TE, and QB. Fromm can be duped into mistakes because of his presnap reads. But he can make the throws.

I think Georgia's front 7 can do well against Bama. It will be interesting to see what a passing game does to the run defense with Bama's talent on the OL.

A&M played Bama a pretty good game. Georgia is better than A&M. With that said Bama has a better secondary and OL and Georgia would need their A game in all phases. Hope to see the matchup.

1 point win over ND is the only measuring stick we have

Notre Dame is 5-1 and is averaging 44.2 points per game outside of the UGA game, 40 if you include our game.

Who's Alabama's best win, A&M? FSU? Both of those teams are underwhelming as frick. Bottom line is UGA has had a harder schedule so far than Bama.

ETA: before anyone says ND hasn't played anyone they have played #3 UGA and #18 MSU(beat 38-18).

What exactly is a freshman mistake? No other QB in this country has thrown an int or fumbled once? The only freshman mistake he may have done is lead the conference in QBR after 7 games. Fromm is capable.

If the game was played tomorrow,Bama by 14. It would be a tough low scoring first half. I just don't think we could control the time of possession like we have so far this year. Bama's oline would eventually be able to create room for the backs. Our oline has started slow and gotten better as the game goes on. That is against teams that if they had an all star team would not match Bama. Our defense is good enough to hold Bama to 24-28. Our offense would only score 10-14. No turnovers. Both teams playing their best ball. 27-13 Bama.

I gotta give props to Georgia fans. The most realistic fanbase I've seen on the rant lately.

Sure they have. However, freshmen tend to do it worse. Surely you realize that a freshman QB will likely throw more INTS, and force throws making their COMP% go down. Fumble the ball and try to pick it up instead of fall on it. (Ring a bell?)

Then all I can say is you haven't watched our games. has he been good? Yes. Has he been tried to force passes in when he shouldn't? Yes. In spite of your rose colored glasses he has made freshman mistakes.

how strong the west

Well considering we have head to head data for games played so far between East and West teams and the West has only lost 2 of them I say it is considerably stronger than the East.

I do agree that the West is stronger, but head to head is hardly a defining yardstick, since match ups would play a huge role in that.

ETA
The West isn't very strong, either, but I think you (Or another Bama fan) has already admitted that. Outside of Alabama, Georgia and maybe Auburn and Texas A&M, the SEC is pretty bad all the way around.

Not to mention that Georgia's one west game so far was a blowout W.
