Is the consensus still that OM is behind the 8 ball on this one?

No matter how bad it is for Ole Piss it won't be as big of a shitshow as what I watched last night in Clemson, SC.

He looked down into her brown eyes
And said say a prayer for me.
She threw her arms around him
And whispered God will keep us free.
They could hear the riders coming
He said this is my last fight.
If they take me back to Texas,
They won't take me back alive.

They probably could've garnered a bit of sympathy by losing a game or two. Being 2-0, they're gonna feel the full wrath. I'd've thrown at least one game.

They don't get their verdict tomorrow. They meet with the Council of Infractions, who will hear everything the investigators found and a final defense from Ole Miss. Then, in 8-12 weeks, they'll pass down the penalties.

The committee on infractions hearing starts tomorrow but a verdict isn't expected for another 6-8 weeks from what I've read. I expect Freeze and Farrar (former assistant) to get hit hard with show causes and OM to get additional scholarship reductions and a 2018 postseason ban.

Best case scenario for OM is a one year bowl ban, but I'd be surprised if that's all they get hit with.

No, they go before the committee and present their defense.

What Ole Miss has been through and is currently going through is punishment enough.

An interesting consideration as to the time frame. A NCCA verdict could come in Nov. as indicated, 6-8 wks away. Then, if the Black Bears do appeal, that could push back any final verdict to Jan. or Feb. Right up to NSD, giving the Black Bears another horrible recruiting season. They need to bite the bullet & get the clock started on the sanctions asap.

When Leo gets there and it's revealed that they believe him because he passed a lie detector test, who do you think Ole Miss will blame it on then?

Ran across the country fields, in all terrain,
they had guns and dogs and everything.
Swam a river try'n to lose my trail,
But they caught me, under the bridge. Oh yeah!

The Grove
Is burnin'...

Not really. Tomorrow is the COI meeting. OM will be depressed to the point of death tomorrow, but the final penalty verdict will come sometime in late October to mid November. That is when they will truly know how bad it is and what to put in their lawsuit against the NCAA.

The next is not me. it is their words. In their words, their lawyers will break the NCAA, which will cease to be (forever and ever, amen) at that point.
