I heard that interview and he said he hasn't seen anything but he also said he hasn't seen all the evidence either. He was giving AU the benefit of the doubt until something happens.

He was also a defender of some of the folks convicted in the state government corruption scandal. Guess who else defended some of those dirty politicians? Yep.. Espy.. McGregors atty.
I know all of that, having said that, I should believe Bama message board fantasies over him, right?

He maybe said 2 things of interest.
1. Wretaps happened in spring this year, well after Newton committed.
2. Chances of the wiretap info being leaked was very unlikely.
I don't see how this is big news.

I got 2 things.
"You should listen to McGregor's atty because he wouldnt lie" (like they're all honest, right?)
and
"The wiretap laws are pretty stringent regarding leaks."
im all fine with listening to theories on what might be true, or why it might not be true, but what i heard here is nothing.
no stickey. no kudos. not even a single kudo, in fact.

Interesting you title the thread Former US attorney and conveniently ignore, in the initial post, he is a member of the freaking defense.
I am shocked he says much ado about nothing... shocked I tell you.

The 11 people arrested Monday as part of a state government corruption investigation all have retained attorneys to defend them against the charges, which range from conspiracy to federal bribery to wire fraud. The number of charges against each defendant varies.
Here's the main, "innocent" guy he defended.

Former U.S. Attorney Doug Jones and criminal defense attorney Jim Parkman say they are both stunned at how quickly the jury in the Larry Langford federal corruption trial came to their decision. In an interview on Good Day Alabama, both men addressed their thoughts about the trial.
"There were problems in the defense, but I was surprised that the jurors didn't hold out over some of the issues," says Jim Parkman.
Doug Jones added that "It was stunning that it happened so quick. The fact that there was so much evidence... the jury was sending a message to politicians everywhere."

Yeah, because this guy isn't fun. Rumors, gossip and innuendo are a lot more fun than this boring shite.

There is a time frame as to when people brag about buying players?
They probably do not have the actual call between Cecil and Allin, but it doesn't mean they do not have individuals bragging to one another about how much they shelled out for certain players...

No you shouldn't. But FBI wiretaps are another matter. When are the Auburn faithful going to realize that CamGate is the tip of the iceberg?
Clear out the criminals that run your University and you have my respect. Too many people's lives depend on this.

"Because it's an opinion piece which is positive for Auburn" isn't grounds for a sticky.
Or your bad post.

I hope you, Stanky, and the OP keep calling out the Admins. I'm sure they appreciate it. Enjoy banland.

It just amazes me the collective butthurt of the SEC that Auburn/Cam have had a good season. I hope all these same hicks/mongos come out of the woodwork to issue AU apologies when we are cleared, but I know it won't happen. They'll just claim we paid off some judge or NCAA official. Quite typical.

He was taming the jury pool. A lawyers job is to protect his client and he is a fromer US Attorney that has chosen to now fight for those being indicted by the federal government because that is where the money is. He will make millions of dollars on this case.
He didn't really say much. He said that Mr. Espy spoke about Milty and all Espy said was that Milty didn't pay Cam, well of course it will not be a check sritten my Milty to Cam's father so Espy probably didn't lie.
When the federal government gets involved they already know the answers, they just want to see what you have to say. I look for people to get diarrhea of the mouth very soon and then the deals will begin to get cut.

According to whom ? You and Jones' mom ?

Anyone with a pulse could have prosecuted that trial in Birmingham and won it.
Jones isn't as wonderful as you make him out to be.

Not to mention that he and Espy will have mutual interests in each of their clients to be found believable at this point.

Why isnt this surprising that the point Im trying to make is flying right over your head?
I'm talking to the same bunch that blindly believes everything in Tuna's thread.
My point is, if that post which is 100% rumor about AU's football team deserves to be stickied, well an attorney, albeit a defense attorney, is debunking it, that deserves to be stickied too.
The threshold for threads to be stickied is obviously low.
