Sorry, but the current snakes in Florida all survived a massive freeze about 18 years ago. They crawled into limestone crevices and rock piles and survived off the sun heating the ground and rocks. Officials thought it might have solved the problem. If alligators can live in SE Oklahoma pythons can certainly live and breed as far north as I-10. Then west. Not saying it will happen, but nature often figures it out.

SE Louisiana has three different rattlesnakes. Canebreak, eastern diamond back(Florida Parishes) and pygmy. Bayou Sauvage NWR in New Orleans East might have the highest concentration of canebreaks anywhere.
