As you can see, it's still happening.

2011. It was glorious. I was in New Orleans for the game and experienced it first hand. It reverberated for years on this site.

The current melt is weird and solely originates from the insecurity of some LSU fans who need to believe for some sad reason that their team last year was the best ever. Personally, who cares? Each season is its own entity. Why spend endless hours online debating hypotheticals?

10 years later, and the melt goes on and on and on....

Exactly how I feel, but somehow I keep getting sucked in. Let’s argue unprovable opinions and call each other dumbass! What fun.

Hell, they were even melting over what the Bama/LSU fan ratio would be in the dome that night.

Which LSU melt has been bigger?
Bro

2011 was EPIC

Imagine arguing for a week that Alabama shouldn’t and wouldn’t be ranked #2.

And then being here when they unveiled the rankings

I wasn't here either, but it has to be 2011. LSU fans have been in a perpetual melt since 1/9/12.

I bet the immediate aftermath of the 9-6 Game were halcyon days for the Tiger faithful.

This website has never truly been the same since 1/9.

And the aftershocks are still being felt today. Why do you think they're all so desperate for their 2019 team to be regarded as the GOAT? Because the last time they tried to declare one of their teams the GOAT, Alabama emasculated them in their own backyard on national television.

Yeah Bama fans aren't contributing to this stupid argument at all.

Talks of a rematch started shortly after the game in the media and on here.

It was epic.

Are you kidding... they are still melting from 2011.
They try to forget but, they can't. They'll melt on 2011 til they're 6 feet under. You can't unlive that one.

Then we beat them over the head with, “Alabama was the better team in the first game.”

That didn’t go over well.

Then they didn’t cross the 50 yard line until midway through the 4th quarter

Man, it was wild.

Melt rankings:

1) 1/9 in game
2) 2011 BCS selection show
3) 1/9 aftermath
4) 2012 game/aftermath
5) 2014 game/aftermath
6) Landon Collins
7) 5 for 5
8) Dylan Moses/ Cam Robinson
9) 2015 game/ aftermath
10) 2016-2017 game/ aftermath

This doesn’t even register
