No doubt. The media is completely overlooking Cal-Berkeley’s chant - “The South will rise again.” Beloved by blacks all across America.

Yeah I guess when you let people shite where-ever they want your level of tolerance for anything is off the charts.

Slavery was banned in the northwest territory. They had to pass stricter laws in 1851 because southerners would bring their slaves with them and use any method they could to circumvent the previous laws.

How much yall try to deny it, the confederate states only wanted to secede from the Union was bc of slavery. Holding on to an evil past is not a good look in the black community.
What do you think is a worse look? Southerners holding onto the past? Or one demographic that makes up 13% of the population being responsible for 54-56% of the murders in this country?
Just curious what you think is a worse look.

I've worked for close to 30 years all over the US. I agree 100% with your assessment. The southern states ain't got nothing on the racism and racial attitude of those states that you've list.
Oh BTW, you left out Ohio.

Such a bunch of BS, I don't even know where to start.
Does racism still exist? Yes, of course. But it exists ALL OVER THE U.S., not just the South. The South went through it the worst in the 1950s-1970s because Whites and Blacks had to intermingle regularly, unlike the North. And look, you're always going to have good ole boys who are racists, that will probably always be around.
But the important thing, the institutional racism is gone. Blacks don't have their own water fountains and restrooms anymore. Blacks can open bank accounts anywhere. Blacks can buy a home anywhere if they have the money. Blacks can play college football. The police no longer look the other way, so whites can brutally hurt or kill blacks. The KKK is more of a myth than a reality. And let me remind you, the KKK had more active members in INDIANA than anywhere in the south.
I'll admit that I've known 3 blatantly racist individuals in my life. I'm not talking about people who say things like "blacks should eat fried chicken, or blacks are thugs". I'm talking about people who wanted blacks out of the United States. People who considered blacks to be animals, behind 500-1,000 years in evolution and people that should've been sent back to Africa after the Civil War.
The first one was a friend of a friend. I ended up cutting both of those individuals out of my life. The second was a co-worker who would spout stuff off when he was around white people and thought he was safe. He didn't make it long and was quickly fired and I cut off any contact with him. The third one is a neighbor who is older. We've established we can't change his opinion on race, but to not bring it up to us. He's the only one I still have any contact with, but even for me it's not a lot.
Where did these 3 individuals come from: NEW YORK, PENNSYLVANIA and MICHIGAN! Not a single southern state, so s*ck on that.
You say southern states still wish we were segregated. Northern states in many areas still are more segregated than pretty much anywhere in the south. I can go to many counties in the northeast and midwest and not see a single black person. And trust me, there are many communities in the Northeast and Midwest where, if a black person tried to move in, they would get the memo they are unwelcome very quickly.
Honestly, the North is actually significantly more racist now. Cities in the north like Chicago and Indianapolis are far more segregated than any southern city. And I would say at least 75% of the time I hear anything even remotely racist, it's from someone from the north.
Sadly they get away with it because they are able to hide it behind a more general elitism. Plus with the media based out of New York, they aren't ever going to say anything bad about the Northeast.
The whole "the south is racist" thing is now just used as a way for northerners to try to still feel superior. The south is now better in a huge amount of metrics. We have better weather, better food, better outdoor activities, better manufacturing (why do think all the car manufacturing is moving to the south?) and better economies. We even have better infrastructure (outside of Louisiana, Mississippi and parts of Tennessee, which I'll admit are awful). And we absolutely have better women.
The south continues to grow, while the midwest and northeast continue to hemorrhage their population. It seems like half of Ohio has moved to South Carolina, and more than half of New York has moved to Florida. You sure as heck don't see the reverse happening.
The north uses "racism" just to make them feel better about themselves, and to try to keep a false moral superiority over the south. Of course it's not true, and it doesn't hide the fact that, by so many metrics, the south is now a far better place to live.
But don't worry, if you need to, I can give you some names of towns in the northeast and midwest where you'll be able to find plenty of racists. Of course you won't go, because that will break your narrative.

quote:So what? I'm not saying racism is a good thing, but it will always exist as long as there are different races. It's human nature. We're tribal. It's like saying "we all know bad weather exits."
We all know racism still exists.
Also, governments and media and other lowlifes have been trying to change the definition, as we all know, so that it must include institutional power and only whites can be racist. Being called a racist used to be a really awful indictment. Now? It's been so over used that no one gives a shite anymore about the term. It's been rendered completely meaningless. So, you and whoever else can stay focused on the topic. But I think it's a waste of time.

Racism isn't even a word with an agreed upon definition any longer.
It is a useless moniker that the corrupt media uses to stir up minorities and other liberals who are too stupid to understand they are being played.
Also RA'd to move to the poli board.

The term "racist" has been completely watered down. Honestly, it's lost all it's teeth.
I'm old enough to remember when it was genuinely insulting to be called a racist. And if you're were called one, you would reflect if it was actually true.
Now if you disagree with a black person or any minority, on anything, you are called a "racist". I hate to be political, and I agree this should be moved to the poli board, but the racism term really got diminished starting with Obama.
If you were white, you were not allowed to disagree with Obama without being called a racist. It didn't matter that your disagreement wasn't about race at all. Take Obamacare for example. I disagreed with that. Obama could have been the whitest President in history with 100% European lineage and I would've disagreed with it. But if you disagreed, you were racist.
They didn't realize, and probably didn't care, that they were corrupting the term. And now, to me, when someone uses the word "racist", it probably has very little to do with racism. If anything, a lot of times people resort to the "racist" term, it means either someone has brought up an inconvenient truth, or a person has lost the argument and are now just resorting to name calling to shut down the conversation and ignore the fact they lost.

Exactly, it's easy to claim the south is racist when you rarely if ever have to interact with a black person yourself. There are people in the midwest or northeast, in rural areas, that probably don't have a black person who lives within 30 miles of them. I would even say that, for many of those in rural part of New York or Michigan or Indiana, they could go most of their lives without having much if any interaction with blacks. Outside of Appalachia, if you live in the south, you are going to be around and interacting with black people. If you are white and live in Mississippi, Louisiana and parts of Alabama, Arkansas and western Tennessee, there's a good chance you as a white person are the minority.
Honestly, after the horrible period of Jim Crow and the Civil Rights Movement, I think whites and blacks in the south get along really well. Are there exceptions? Yes. But there is far more racism and even unofficial segregation in the north than in the south.

Ever drive on I-75? Or pretty much any road around Nashville or Memphis?
Look at I-75. I-75 is 3 lanes from Cincinnati all the way down to Naples. The only exception to that, Tennessee.
As someone who lives in Florida and has family in Kentucky, I've driven up there a fair amount. Every time I've made the trip Tennessee has the worst and roughest roads.
Now don't get me wrong, they are still better than Louisiana or Mississippi. They are also still better than a lot of Northeast and Midwest states. But a lot of Tennesse infrastructure leaves a lot to be desired.

Tennessee is ranked #23 in the country for infrastructure and I-75, as are all interstates, is Federal.

Again, never said it was the worst, and it's still better than a lot of midwest and northeast states. And while funding is Federal, maintenance still falls to the state. There is no excuse for I-75 to not be 3 lanes minimum in all of Tennessee.
But as someone who has done a lot of traveling in the south, Tennessee roads are below part. Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Virginia and Kentucky roads are much better than Tennessee roads.
Tennessee is still better than South Carolina (I-95 in South Carolina is truly awful) and definitely better than Louisiana or Mississippi, but that isn't a high bar.

Having monuments does not equal racism and is certainly not an endorsement of slavery - we are proud to be Southerners and there was a lot more to the war than just slavery

Being that far foreword in their thinking...I'm sure Oklahoma started a black quarterback, long before any SEC team...and I'm also sure they wouldn't forfeit any gams for forged transcripts because of said quarterback.
Wait...Condredge Holloway started at Tennessee before Kerry Jackson did at Oklahoma...and UT didn't have to forfeit any games because of Holloway.
