Steve overall but Meyer had 2 championships in 3 years which helps since the football program has been an utter joke the last 15 years.

Meyer is a total scum bag but the man can coach some college ball there’s no denying that

I know SS is still very much a fixture at Florida games and around the program. Is UM?

He has moved back to the Sarasota (I think) area to be near to family, and has been around the UF program a lot more since then.

Spurrier is definitely the favorite, but Meyer is well liked. Spurrier is an alumnus, and played at UF winning the 1st Heisman in school history, and is the all time winningest coach.

Spurrier is one of my all time favorite figures in college football ever. He was/is awesome for the sport and we need more like him in the game today.

Plus he said shite like this:

Steve Spurrier’s infamous jab regarding an Auburn University library fire that destroyed 20 books is:"The real tragedy was that 15 hadn't been colored yet."

Apparently this is a serious question, which is astonishing.

Spurrier is a Gator. Meyer was a mercenary.

Meyer’s biggest weakness was he just didn’t handle turmoil and adversity very well, even when things weren’t really that bad. And when they really were bad, you got the catastrophe in Jacksonville.

Perhaps Saban’s greatest superpower (other than being a phenomenal recruiter) was that he was the same regardless of the circumstances. Whether yesterday was the Kick Six or 2nd and 26, he was focused on the next step like nothing ever happened. Meyer couldn’t do that.

Yeah, he is in Sarasota. See him quite a bit actually around town. It's great to see him so invested with the program again, his passion for Florida is stronger than a lot of people realize. The dude loves UF.

I'll always have a soft spot for the OBC even though he beat the breaks off of us in the 90s. Urban Meyer is a step below human waste.

God I hated Spurrier at the time. It seemed like that dude laid 63 points on us every year except for the miracle upset in 1997. Only time I’ve ever rushed the field. He took it personally though and beat the dog shite out of us the following year.

People have short memories, but when UF hired Meyer he had a reputation as a disciplinarian who didn't put of with jack shite. The Avery Atkins saga really changed him in my opinion. He was the star of Meyer's first full recruiting class at UF and the way things ended was so tragic.

Cliff's notes: He was kicked of the team after his girlfriend accused him of hitting her even though he was not arrested. Meyer said he had a list of things he had to do to get back on the team. He spiraled and got arrested 3 times over the next year and was foiund dead in his car from a drug overdose.

You can't spell CITRUS without a U and a T. (Referring to Tennessee)
