Ref should be thankful we kept Champ from getting a hold of him.

To be fair, Champ was right and was calling a spade a spade, when Gus didn’t have the balls to give the refs the dog-cussing they deserved.

That sideline penalty effectively ended an Iron Bowl, which is unacceptable for a judgment call to end such a big game.

LOL - it was 100% a late hit out of bounds. The call itself was not egregious AT ALL. Champ acted like a nutjob, and MIGHT have gotten away with it if he was the head coach, especially in the pre-penalty era. However, he was a frickin coordinator. Coordinators don't have the leeway to act that way to an official. They tried to even THEN let him act a fool but he wouldn't stop and finally they threw a flag.

That was 100% Champ, and by extension Gus' fault for letting Champ act like that. Gus didn't even argue it. He almost looked ashamed when he was talking to the referee about it.

Stan White is the douchiest, whiningest, crybaby, pussy on the planet!!!

I think Stan is pretty clearly the worst, but Zeier and Howard aren't too far behind.

Officiating is supposed to be unbiased.

Alabama gets all of the meaningful calls. We saw it against Mississippi State this year, LSU last year, etc.

Everyone knows this except die hard Alabama fans.

Why do all the other ADs and Presidents in the SEC allow it to continue?

26 shoves him when he is already out of bounds and 23 tackles him after he has already out of bounds. Blatant cheap shot shite

As opposed to a game tying touchdown with one minute left when there is a lineman 8 yards downfield?

Yea - it was a late hit out of bounds. Like, there is no argument on it. Champ then proceeded to act like a lunatic and even after the officials gave him some leeway he CONTINUED to do it and the head coach never took control. At that point the refs said enough of this shite from a coordinator and flagged him.

It was totally justified.

Rod and Stan are just too emotional.

They are comically morose when Auburn is having a bad game. Like they are at a funeral.

23 hit is textbook late hit out of bounds. You can't do that.

He is not even a yard out of bounds when 23 hits him. 23 is going full speed trying to make a play. Ticky tack rooty poo BS call by bammer Ritter and his crew.

There was no reason for him to dive like that. Coker was already going out of bounds before 23 even leaves his feet. And "trying to make a play" doesn't mean you didn't commit a penalty.

Auburn announcer in the midst of that epic meltdown:

quote:

"I defy you to go back and find an Iron Bowl where Alabama had more penalty yards than Auburn"

Okay:

Just going back to since Saban started Alabama had more penalty yards than Auburn in the Iron Bowl in:

2007
2010
2013
2015 (the same damn game where this statement was made )

Happened again last year in 2016 too.

So half the time.
