If I remember things right I don't think Champ was arguing about the late hit I think it was that Carol Larson was getting mugged almost every play. But it was allowed to go on for both sides to be honest.

Im Jelly AU has Rob Bramlett as their play-by-play man. He does an outstanding job imo.
Stan White, not so much. His voice irks me...I'd rather hear fingernails accross a chalkboard than listen to Stan Whites voice.

I hate it that I have to endure Stan White's interviews on the Jox Round table show.

I like Eli when he did NASCAR, he has a good voice. But in Football you do not know yardage gained with a play, down and distance and a general knowledge of what is going on in the game. I guess now that most games are on TV, people do not care as much. I miss the old voices of the SEC.

Meh. Alabama won the game by 16 and the yardage battle by 200 yards. Plus over half of AUs points and a 3rd of their yards were a result of prayer in Jordan Hare part 2

That's exactly what I said upthread. Eli has the voice and passion of a great play by play guy, but IMO he did NASCAR for so long he could never get it out of his system. He describes football plays like they're passes on a racetrack - which leaves out a lot of very important information.

Cool post. All of which does absolutely nothing to refute anything I said. It was an equally shitty argument when you guys made it for the Patrick Peterson INT (“we won by 9”... well, yeah... because you were up by 6 and kicked a FG when you were gifted back the possession after the INT that would’ve given them a chance to win the game)
16 points is 2 possessions, if I remember college football correctly.
