Bama's most recent game in Jordan Hare. Classy Auburn representatives berate an official while he is injured and receiving medical attention. The poor guy slipped on the turf that Auburn had been watering since Tuesday in preparation for the game. Apparently they think that you should be able to tackle a Qb 3 yards out of bounds and let their D coordinator come on the field and scold officials. The little brother factor is on full display throughout

I can understand there point, but it’s not there job to berate a poor officiating crew on live radio. Stop Henry from running down the field, and try to do it with 11 players on the field.

AU fans still not even in the same universe as LSU is when it comes to whining about refs

Rod Bramlett and Stan White make Eli Gold sound like Keith Jackson.

I like Bramlett, but Stan white is a joke.

Rob Bramlett is awesome, however, Stan White is the douchiest, whiningest, crybaby, pussy on the planet!!! He is the reason why I never listen to my team play on the radio.

Is that the same game that the Auburn Scout site wrote an article about all the holding by Alabama that wasn't called?

They're genuinely terrible, which is made worse by the fact that they followed Jim Fyffe who was (my hatred for his 'touchdown Auburn' not withstanding) a superb radio play by play guy.

I say this without any of my Alabama bias creeping in : The Auburn radio crew whines about officials more than any radio crew I've ever heard. And there really isn't even a close 2nd. I'm honestly a bit surprised that they haven't at least noticed it in their re-listens to their calls of games.
Driving to and from games I listen to a ton of home team radio calls on Sirius. Nobody comes close to the consistency of whining about calls that Stan and Rod do, specifically Stan. It's embarrassing.

Rod and Stan aren't great by any means, but Eli and company are horrific.

The refs can throw a flag on the side line when a person on the sideline cusses the official.
If you call an official a dumb sob to his face he can throw The unsportsmanlike conduct flag.
Question the call but not the officials
Family tree.

I don't like Eli, but he is leagues better than the Auburn duo.

On the flip side - Rod and Sonny call a great basketball game.

I don't think Eli has EVER gotten the yardage right on a play. Example:
"There goes Hurts off the right side for a gain of about 6 or 7 yards!" Meanwhile, in the background you can hear the stadium announcer say, "2nd and 7 from the Alabama 40 yard line."

Eli was a great NASCAR radio guy, but IMO he's never been able to transition away from that to football. He leaves out important detail like yard line and adds in stuff that doesn't matter a lot.
"Earnhardt looks high, now he cuts down low to the bottom and makes the move work to gain the position" is perfect for describing a race move for 10th place in the pack.
"Henry cuts right, now he swings back left, he makes another guy miss and moves ahead before going down in the arms of a defender" fails miserably when what we really want to know is did he pick up the 3rd and 4 or not?

You wouldn't know good sports radio broadcasting if it pecker slapped you in the lips.

I’m not a fan of them either. They are just as bad when it comes to whining about refs IMO.

I don't listen to them all that much, but I've enjoyed them when I do. I love Sonny.
