Believe it or not, OOC lasts more than just Week 1.

Would be glorious to see Alabama go down week one, but doubt it happens. That would probably make this season start off incredible!

Ole Miss is probably the odds on favorite just for the time.

True, but Ole Miss Texas Tech is going to last 5hrs and could go over 120 total points.

I expect Miami to beat LSU pretty badly.

So Tennessee will be the first loss for the SEC and the next first loss will be LSU. Who do you think has the third first loss and fourth third loss?

I don't really care about who wins the game itself but if Bama loses, the following week is going to be very annoying. All the talks will be about how it is over for him and he will never win a NC again.

Petrino hasn't had any success against Saban and I don't think that changes this year.

What are you talking about?

I'm talking about Tennessee being the first conference team to lose a game this year.

Keep up pal

You said, "Tennessee...blazing a trail once again"...but UT didn't "blaze a trail" on entering the losers column early last year.

Your statement was false...so, you are the one who needs to keep up with your own false statements. Also...I'm not your Pal, Buddy.

You asked if Tennessee would blaze the trail once again. That implies that we lose the opener often.

We have won every season opener since 2008

Since losing the opener in the 1988 season...UT has lost 3 season opening games with one tie (to eventual National Champion Colorado in 1990, including winning their last 9 in a row. That makes UT 25-3-1 in season openers in that span.

I know you’re new to this whole SEC thing so I’ll give you a pass.

Here down south we have conference pride and root for our league in OOC games. Unless it’s a big rival. It makes the games against your team bigger and better if your opponent is ranked/bowl bound.

Common sense.

I dont. Every time another SEC team wins a big game, it makes it harder for my team to do well. frick em all

I can say with some degree of authority that if its Arkansas after our game with Eastern Illinois there will be a melt down that makes the LSU loss to Troy seem mild in comparison.

My guess is Ole Miss. I think they have a better team then Texas Tech but if the Raider Rash gets going they can knock off an Ole Miss team with a suspect defense.
