They will be in year 2 with a very good offensive coordinator. They return a QB who showed tons of promise. They return every important skill player. They have talent on the offensive line.

Is it possible that a 3rd SEC team in a row has a record breaking offensive season en route to a title?

Short answer:
Maybe.

Long answer:
Really depends on the OL development over the offseason because the unit was not quite up to their Pittman era level of quality. I don't think they're going to become like '19 LSU because Daniels can't eat unblocked rushers like Burrow. So that means they need OL play like what Alabama got this past season.

we should be able to get after the thin and inexperienced UGA secondary.

Clemson wins because of this reason. Probably a fire fight. If UGA gets 2 legit transfers during the off-season and figures out their offensive line, they could very well be one of the best teams in the country and win Week 1. Until then though, they’re too thin at secondary. They’re an injury or two away from playing guys with 0 playing time under their belt.

I'm doubting myself after posting "maybe" because I just don't think that WR corp is '19 LSU level nor '20 Alabama at full strength. That group gotta take a big next step too.

Bama is most likely going to do it again.

Monken is a fantastic OC, but we've been on a 4th string walk on for most of the season. Daniel's was still recovering this year, next year, he should be fully healed. I think he will put up strong numbers, maybe not record breaking, but impressive numbers nonetheless

Or our leading WR in terms of yards and catches, Kearis Jackson.

They don't have the WRs that Bama and LSU did. Put Jefferson/Chase/TMJ or Smith/Waddle on their team, and they could do it.

Ehhh. That’s not true.

They haven’t proven it yet, but our WRs look damn good with a real QB in our 4 games.

Pickens
Burton
Blaylock
Kearis Jackson
Arian Smith
Demetris Robertson

ETA: Not saying they are LSU or Bama’s level, but there’s no reason why they can’t be. We will find out soon enough.

I don't think so but nothing would surprise me at this point.

Burrow and Jones showed what kind of improvement you can have from one year to another if you work harder than everyone else.

Nobody's rustled, we're all just tired of the random trolling everywhere.

I could see UGA cranking up the offense next season. The luster is wearing off Kirby a bit, he's been close but no cigar a few years in a row. He might decide that you can't win big games 24-17 anymore, you need to win them 45-40.
And the best way to do that is to be a scoring machine every game, so when you get do caught up in a shootout, it's not time to panic.

At first I thought sure, but the more I think about it the more I don’t see it happening. I think the offense will score more than Smart teams usually do, but they won’t break records. Smart isn’t a coach that’s going to run up the score, unless it’s Auburn. Any time UGA is a couple scores in the second half he just shuts the offense down completely, unless it’s Auburn. JTD averaged around 300/game. I doubt he averages more in 21.

I remember literally laughing out loud prior to the 2019 season when Burrow said at SEC Media Days that LSU would put up 50 points a game.

Like Georgia the past few years, LSU's offense at the time was fairly predictable and lacked imagination. Then you saw what they did that season.

Point being, you never know what will happen when the conditions are perfect. UGA hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt, but if they finally figure out how to put up major points, they'll be a tough matchup for any team in CFB.

Every SEC team needs to plan to beat Alabama. Alabama WILL score 40+.
LSU (and Auburn) did this in 2019, not by shutting the Tide down, but by outshooting them. LSU won 46-40.

You don't prepare to score over 40 on Alabama, by being gentle with South Carolina or Vanderbilt. You need to score constantly, and get used to doing so.
