Gonna be tough to find a better WR duo than Pickens and Burton.

I think all of these offensive records will be broken within the next twenty years. Too much offense these days. That’s how the powers in charge want it. Even in the NFL.

Seniors returning at the offensive skills positions - check
Sarkisian-like OC - check
Easier division/lesser opponents - check

All signs point to yes. Why not?

Yea, I mean I get that its LOL Georgia 1980 and everything, but they match up with the template of both Alabama and LSU heading into their big seasons on offense.

I dunno if they'll be quite that good, but they should be very very good on offense.

No, that's what DiddlyDawg said. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Monken is supposed to be good.

I can buy that but Sarkisian was on a whole other level this year not only game planning but play calling. He and Kiffin also proved themselves already at USC.

4th and 11, 2nd and 26, Jake fromm over fields fiasco, bennett over daniels. No, their coach is a proven retard.

Monken was the OC at Oklahoma State in 2011/2012. They finished #3 and #4 in YPG and #2 and #3 in PPG.

He's plenty proven.

Also a concern about Joe Brady.

Also said about Ed Orgeron.

A lot of good things can happen when a desperate head coach let's a good offensive mind do what he wants with elite talent. I have to imagine Kirby is feeling the heat to put a championship level offense on the field.

Sark and Kiffin just have that innate ability to know exactly how to call plays against whatever defenses they face.
They were part of the USC decade of dominance with multiple Heisman winners and both carried that same mentality to Bama.

I guess I should have clarified, but I'm thinking championship level, but your topic was offensive records. There have, of course, been examples of awesome offenses relative to other teams in their era, that broke offensive records but weren't championship caliber.

I never did get the attitude not only from rivals but a lot of Alabama fans that Kiffin would be a horrible OC. I figured from the get go he'd be good, and imo he was the best OC ever at Alabama, till Sarkisian this year. And as you note and I did before you, they both proved their mettle at USC.

Week 1 is going to have a lot of fireworks. UGA has some great receivers, and with the garbage safeties we'll likely be trotting out next season, I can't say I'm not a little concerned. Likewise, with Justyn Ross coming back (allegedly) and a healthy receiving corp, we should be able to get after the thin and inexperienced UGA secondary.

DJ vs JT has a great sound to it.

Burrow had almost 800 yards and 7 tds against utah st and northwestern state. Burrow also had 527 attempts to Macs 401 and mac had a higher ypa average than burrow. We also had a RB run for 30 tds while yours ran for 16. Your cherry picked stats don't tell the complete story.

That would be a hard no.

We'll have very good skill guys but nothing compared to the talent LSU and Bama in '19 and '20 especially at WR.

Unlike LSU, Bama really does reload.

And 1980.
