Here are the Top 10 in %Growth 2020-2022:

1. Lakeland, FL (+8.60%)
2. Fort Myers, FL (+8.10%)
3. Sarasota, FL (+6.92%)
4. Austin (+6.03%)
5. Raleigh (+4.98%)
6. Jacksonville (+4.35%)
7. Dallas (+4.01%)
8. Charleston (+3.86%)
9. San Antonio (+3.80%)
10. Tampa (+3.64%)

I bet Tampa shot up this list even more in 2023. It's exploding.

I'm one of the few I guess who moved back to Louisiana. Someone mentioned insurance. That's a big deal here. As in, both property insurance in the southern part of the state, but also commercial auto insurance anywhere in the state. Thanks to our lack of tort reform, businesses are choosing to move out of state instead of paying hellacious transportation insurance.

If that were the case, California would have this thing wrapped up. But oops, they don't.

I’m in that number. I left specifically because there were far more opportunities elsewhere.

Yes. All of Central Florida is. The metros of Tampa + Orlando + Fort Myers + Sarasota + Lakeland + Daytona + Melbourne + Port St Lucie had 9.9 million people at the start of the decade. At current growth rates, they will be a combined 12.6 million by 2030.

That 2.7 million in growth that will occur in just ten years is basically the equivalent of current metro Charlotte, NC being created in a 10-year period and plopped down in the middle of Central Florida.

It's nice to see Missouri and Arkansas are not getting hundreds of thousands of East and West Coast Wokesters. A lot of the people leaving East and West coast states, that are the bastions of Wokeism are at best center left on the political spectrum.....don't need them in Missouri unless they're sane and rational people.

There are a TON of CA people in San Antonio. I just hope they don’t bring their terrible voting habits with them.

Although something tells me there is a disconnect for many of them that won’t allow them to think they had anything to do with CA being shitty

Guess Bama fans got a little more tolerable after Saban officially put the school on the fast track back to the irrelevance of the 90s and early 2000s. Come to think of it they probably lost half their fans too.

I'd say that's a pretty good bet, given both human nature and the full blow idiocy of Californian liberals.

And then voting for the same things that ruined where they migrated from.

The Nola Northshore is considered Nola Metro. St Tammany Parish now has 270,000 people. We are experiencing a lot of growth.

I don't want anybody moving here. Keep your carpet bags up north and out west.

Lots of people in Austin are cashing out. Cali immigrant money has moved in and it’s just stupid to turn down. What’s weird is Austin is a shitty place. Yet, everyone wastes their time there.

I think this is most surprising out of anything. I understand NC with Charlotte and the crazy growth in the triangle.
But what's the deal with the SC? Old farts flocking to HH & Charleston?

The entire state is growing like crazy. Ain't a bad place to live. Wages are generally not great but cost of living is lower than most places. Schools are not fantastic but if parents are involved any school is a good school, if parents are merely warehousing their kids no school is a good school. Aiken, North Augusta, Greenville / Spartanburg and even Anderson is BOOMING and not just retirement aged people although they also are growing like wild. The low country is getting as bad as south florida for snow birds though but the upstate and midlands are pretty, pretty, pretty good....

Pretty sure these stats are off. Seems like all 800K departing Californians moved to Austin alone.

I have a buddy in the Hill Country who swears 100K a day are relocating to Texas from California alone and have been doing so for about 20 years. When you mention the math doesn't seem quite right he will pooch his lips out and its hard to enjoy your beer when you buddy is pouting like that....
