Absolutely fair Chip.

A better question would be two loss team? And the answer is no. Elite defense, but an offense that has vastly underperformed. Notre Dame, another 2 loss team would beat Texas.

With all due respect, Texas won't beat UGA or TAMU this year. You should defeat Arkansas.

Who is your best win after Oklahoma? LSU? lol.
Admittedly, the schedule looks not the strongest, but I digress...When we beat LSU, they were undefeated and #3. Very amped up game. LSU isn't the same team as they were before we demoralized them.
Also, We absolutely wore out Tulane who gets a lot of that group of 5 love.
In what years would one consider playing an SEC schedule weak? It's rare.

I live about 4 miles from the stadium. My neighbor has a golf cart and I ride with him. It's glorious.

I disagree. All jokes about Aggie aside, this is the most solid team I have ever seen from y'all. At least since the Sherrill era. I think the absolute lowest Aggie should be ranked at this time is 2, but I actually think they are 1 right now.
It's all moot right now. There are still 3 weeks of ball scheduled and then we all will know where we stand before the playoffs. (The only guarantee is that LSU won't be in the playoffs)

Terry Bowden is available. He was the ultimate candidate and coach for Auburn.

That will be interesting trivia someday, honestly.
But I wonder if those schools will cling to it the way the Vols cling to Neyland's record against Bryant.
As an older Ole Miss fan, I love that Frank Broyles from Arkansas NEVER beat Johnny Vaught. Those were some wicked games back in the day. ALmost to the level of OM/LSU then...

My dad was actually a target of the KKK prick. And he was on campus during the James Meredith incident. My grandfather had to save his arse, because no one in the Florida Parishes fricked with my grandfather, not even the Klan.
I didn’t even know the mfer was Jewish or even care, (I might be Jewfish for all you know)
To me he is just a prick that says ridiculous shite to get a reaction, and represents everything wrong in not only football but America. He is another “don’t look him in the eyes” prick that definitely hates and looks down on all Southerners as he has shown repeatedly.
For me personally, I don’t welcome people who talk shite about me, my family or my culture into my home. Nor do any of the countless Ole Miss Rebels I know.
Somehow we have allowed celebrity to trump everything now.
He is another enemy of SEC football, and that’s all that should matter to real SEC football fans.
That’s the last minute of my time I am wasting on this prick
Got damn, you said a whole lot of nothing. Stay mad.

Yeah you better home Michigan doesn’t decide that they want anything in Oxford reb. Btw when I was there, there was a huge Klan March and at least a dozen frat guys showed up for the Halloween parties in real KKK robes, so don’t be coming off like you are some kind of Jewish loving progressives mfers
1. Michigan did come calling and grabbed Shea Patterson.
2. I don't believe your inbred lips about your KKK statement unless it was held at your dad's place.
3. You're an anti-semite piece of shite.

Germans are only allowable on the politard board (I feel like that tigerdroppings.com euphemism won't go over well with lurkers on this post).
A simple, "I protest the Israeli government" would've sufficed, but this young man full of piss, vinegar, and social media algorithms decided to wreck his fledgling future career in one fell swoop.
Quite a bit of anger I sense in you oh inbred one.

Why was O so much more successful at LSU than OM?
Fit. Simple. He was one of y'all. He never fit at Ole MIss. Boone flew to the West Coast to bring back Dennis Erickson and brought O instead.

Lane has control and support at Ole Miss, something Auburn can't and won't give him.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Ole Miss has won the conference 6 times. Auburn, "the blue blood" didn't surpass Ole Miss until after Bo Jackson played.
You've had flashes, but the truth is, Shug Jordan was Bear Bryant's bitch. I know it, everyone knows it, and deep down, you Aubie's know it too.

While I agree it seems like there's some serious toxicity down on the planes with the meddling boosters, you have to take that into consideration when comparing the two jobs.
You can really see why someone like Kiffin would prefer Ole Miss the way the sport works now.
DING DING DING. Look, at Ole Miss, Lane is the King. The boosters give him the money he wants and he does what he wants with it. The Chancellor and the Athletic Director give Lane carte blanche to run the program any way he sees fit.
You really think LSU or Florida will let Lane run the show? How about their boosters? Hell, in Louisiana, how about their Governor? There is one job in college football that has always been the one we all knew Lane would leave us over and that is Alabama. Much as LSU and Florida like to think they are on that level, they never have and never will be on Alabama's level.
This is why they fail. And then arrogantly think they can poach coaches from other SEC institutions and have instant success that rarely pans out.
Cold hard reality. Florida was an also ran in the SEC until Spurrier. Look at their history. Nothing blue blood about it. LSU has always had the potential to be as good as any of the true blue bloods, but they are stuck with ignorant coon arse leadership. Corruption and stupidity is just what they are. I'll add Auburn. The biggest joke in the conference. They think they are Bama and not only are they not, they never were or will be.
It's actually delicious to watch all of this shite.

Does it mean it's easier to win at Ole Miss than Auburn now?
The biggest differences are this:
1. At Ole Miss, our fans appreciate 10 win seasons and don't fire coaches for them.
2. At Ole Miss, we don't think we are Alabama like Auburn does.
3. At Auburn, they have one rich redneck that owns a lumber yard and runs the program. We don't have that at Ole Miss.
4. At Ole Miss, we have never hired any of Auburn's sloppy seconds coaches. At Auburn, they covet our current and ex coaches....Tuberville, Kiffin (they failed on that one) and Freeze. HAHAHA!
The inferiority at Auburn is thick. They think they are something they never have been. Always in Bama's shadow in the past, present, and foreseeable future.

LSU was once a fine football program with reasonable aspirations of frequently being in SEC Championship and sometimes NC contention.
But that no longer seems to be the case.
Is Ole Miss now a better football program than LSU? Is it a more desirable destination for recruits?
Not sure, but I would say it's at least pretty damn close to happening.
Lane is not even considering any offer by LSU now. He also doesn't appear to be wanting to go elsewhere either.
Has Joey F. made Ole Miss into a better football program as a whole?
There is one job in college ball that Lane Kiffin covets. Truly covets. Alabama. That's never been a secret.

Yeah last season is a great example, if the sec teams were so great why didnt any of them beat the big ten teams or notre dame? It should have been easy since the big ten is so bad.
While I believe both Indiana and Ohio State are very good and deserving of their hype, neither of them play the type schedule those of us in the SEC play. Do I think both teams would do well with an SEC schedule? Probably, but the chances of them having one loss or two or even three would increase substantially. That's simply a fact. The weakest in our conference would win a lot of the lower level conference titles with ease.
