I mean you can laugh at a team for prepping for one of the most hostile environments we’ll see all season, but it’s not like this is new. Football teams do it all the time.

It’s not a bad idea to do this. That chant has destroyed many good pitchers. When the game is intense and it gets going, it’s quite possibly one of the worst things you can experience in sports because as a pitcher you can’t hide from it. You’re all alone on the mound and you’re hearing a deafening call for more balls in unison from the crowd.
I’m not sure you can even recreate this from just the noise.
