And Alabama's isn't? Last three first year starters at Alabama have records that look like this:

As I said in my post, Alabama's drop (all the way to 7, boohoo) is, in my opinion, due to the loss of other players, not the QB. This was stated in my post. you unbearably stupid human.

If we finish in the top 25 it will be a good year for us.

Elliott's long run was the result of a crushing block by a wide receiver that took out two linebackers. I don't understand why Alabama abandoned the run game either.

Bama's top two leading tacklers Collins and Ragalnd weren't on the field for that play.
Also regarding the running game, it's 2nd Sugar Bowl in a row that Bama didn't give Henry enough carries.

Yup, and Shaun Dion Hamilton was in on the play in place of Reggie Ragland.

Not all NFL safeties have elite speed. In fact, name 5 that do.

On Elliots big runs, we inevitably had our twos on the field. At the end of the day, we all play our twos and good teams capitalize.

Blah blah. Heard the Bama finishes 3rd in the west last year. Many years.

I'll bet money on Alabama being in the 4 team before any other SEC team. We'll be there when its said and done and we'll REALLY be declining next year...no seriously, we mean it this time

I see what you did there.

It's not like Alabama has had a #1 recruiting class in the last 5 years or anything. We will manage as we have the last 7 years.

No you didn't.

Alabama was the preseason favorite to win the SEC last year. Facts and shite.

Bama had twos in because their ones got beaten up. Collins in particular.

This isn't a knock on Alabama. Ohio State was a very physical team by the end of the year. I hope to see more match ups between these two in the next several years.

I know. Our ones were beaten up too.

Hopefully depth on the DL this year will help.

Among the media. Not among those on this board. They will more than likely be the preseason favorite to make it back to Atlanta again this year. Why? Because, on paper, they are the most talented team in the SEC.

Preseason polls are pointless. The SEC will be another gauntlet that will see many great teams lose to good teams.

That being said -

AU will be solid (barring injuries) with a stud at QB and a very good defensive coaching staff. 40 pts should win all games this year.

UA will be much better on defense because their line is going to be the best in football. That will hide talent gaps in the secondary. Their offense will be average at best. (QB position is shaky.) I don't think they will give up many points if they learn to cover the bomb.

I suspect the rest of the west to be good as usual and capable of beating UA and AU if they don't bring their A game. There isn't a weak team in the West. Anybody could win it.

The East is still weak. UGA has to be favored because of Chubb and all the 5* star talent. Mizzou will probably win it again because thats just what they do. UT will choke and everyone else will suck.

As for the rest - Ohio State is the only team that will be able to beat the SEC. The rest are just pretenders.

Bama, UGA, LSU too high.

In case you missed it, UGA finished 9th last year and returns a ton of talent.

Why would you take anything posted on this board as serious? This board had a 50000 page thread that connected Auburn University to killings in Miami. Cam Newton was Brent Schaeffer 2.0. Chavis, I mean Chief, had Gus Malzahns offense figured out. And on and on.

Uhhhhh, in case you missed the OP, ESPN (media) has Auburn ranked the highest... Which would make them the favorite to win the SEC...
