I'd put us closer to the 10-12 range personally. If Hutson Mason was still our QB I'd say around 8th. If Murray was still our QB I'd say around 4th or 5th.

All things considered pretty good considering Bama played Auburn and OSU/MSU had to play

And my favorite. What might have been the dumbest play in college football history.

Wasn't his ydg. that caused him to suck it was his inconsistency...

62 TD's to 41 Int's is a terrible 1.5 to 1 TD to Int ratio. A 2.0 to 1 is average at best. 2.5 to 1 is about right for a pretty good QB & 3.0+ to 1 is a very good to great QB...

All I know is that if we have a QB that can consistently hit the deep ball, you're all so fricked

hell I don't even care if he can or not, I just want to limit interceptions. Mason was underrated I think in regards to his long ball, but I mean we don't need a stafford or a murray to throw 50 yard bombs. We just need someone to now throw a couple picks every game and we'll be ok.

I can be overly harsh about Alabama at times but ranking them at #7 is ridiculous especially when you look at some of the teams ranked ahead of them like USC.

People want USC (esp the west coast) to be good so desperately. I agree they should not be ahead of Alabama.

The whole mantra of "college football is better when [insert team] is good" seems like such a dumb concept to me. You see it all the time too. I dont' get it. CFB is good whether ND/USC/Texas/Bama/etc are good or not. It's college football.

Which is what I mean by consistent. I know we have the arms to launch bombs but it does is no good if they're just throwing up gimmes and hoping we can come down with it. If we have a consistent deep treat, safeties can't cheat up. That's one less guy covering Chubb and Sony and Truman and Marshall. And opposing teams are going to need everyone they can on that line

The game didn't play that close

Bama was up 21-6 at one point and held a lead a halftime. They were like 10-13 on 3rd down conversions, many of those being 7+ yards. We just couldn't get off the field.

Classic ESPN.

"We'd leave Mizzou out if we could, but since everyone else with brains has them in the top 20 we should probably include them. Just put them right at the bottom."
