I read USC sold out the Coliseum for this game.
Gotta see it to believe it. I wonder if the "sellout" is from tarping over the endzone seats. We'll see.

Pay attention for these are the relevant facts and what you need to understand.
LSU, long long ago, CHOSE to play Night Games long before they became popular. Almost EVERY other team in this and other conferences CHOSE to play during the day. It's the way it's always been.
And I got news for you. Your Stadium, Fans or Team are not going to suddenly transform into the LSU Tiger Fans and/or Death Valley if or when you play @ night. It simply won't/ain't gonna work, sound, look like it does in Tiger Stadium!
And that is because LSU & Tiger Fans are totally Different. Night games fit/match Louisiana culture.
And besides.... your predominant Protestant/Baptist Church's rule against & frown upon Drinking; and those congregations greatly influenced and played a strong part in the historical decision + choice, made long ago, for the "Day Games" time slots you're accustomed to.

If the game was at tejas then it'd be a night game.
Just like every time Mizzou plays FL, GA, Bama, aTm, or LSU in CoMO it's an 11:00am start time. NEVER a night game.
Now if we play away at one of those places you bet your azz it's a night game.

Exactly. Someone is getting screwed every week so we don’t hand them that slot from a ratings standpoint.
Bama-MSU will be a top 10 vs top 25 matchup and we’re kicking off at 11am.
Mediocre to bad game day experience compared to a night game particularly early in the season but it’s all about ad revenue.

What are we to do with all these big games being played in the SEC every week? ABC lineup is a who's who of college football. And regardless of rankings, brand matters. Cause eyeballs are money.

Sorry your feelings are getting hurt over the UT v UT at noon and A&M v LSU being the night game. But, you see, night games have always been a thing at LSU. It's the way the world works. It's not out of the norm to see Tennessee or Texas playing during daylight hours. It is very uncommon to see LSU playing at Death Valley when the sun is still high in the sky.
Y'all Georgia boys just worry about what y'all do behind those hedges at Sanford and the rest of us will worry about playing football as it should be played at our respective venues.

TVs are cheap, get a second for football season like I do and watch multiple screens. I'd rather pick from two quality games later in the day than waste prime matchups routinely for the Jefferson Pilot slot. If Texas and OU are fine with it because of their B12 history great, I have no interest in being in the stadium by 10:15, kills tailgating and the energy is a fraction of what it is at night.
If you want me spending tens of thousands of dollars a year for season tickets dont expect me to be sitting in the stands at 11am in september when its 95 outside when the alternative is my house or boat for free.

This Saturday, the forecast is for it to be around 53 at 9am, 66 at noon and 75 around 4pm. It's a true Fall Saturday in East Tennessee, so it will be perfect weather for football, and Neyland Stadium should be highly energized.
As for it not having the intensity of Tiger Stadium. This was the last time Tennessee played in Tiger Stadium. You couldn't hear the LSU fans in the 2nd half because they were already in the parking lot.
