re: LSU never technically fired Kelly.

This is some sort of kid level crossed my fingers bs I don't will fly , and you hope it does not fly.
The more ridiculous this gets and attempts to screw him will leave your coaching lists unfulfilled

This is so hilarious. It's shaping up to be better than some Tennessee coaching searches
Has the coaching search really even started ? seems like they are still sorting out if kelly has even really been fired, or who's in charge for hiring still
He's not the only one , just one of the few that's been brought up repeatedly over the years.

You're right good coaches should mitigate this , it's also probably one of the reasons he's struggled post stallions rule changed

Vegetables is a well known sign stealer since his Clemson years

That's some cuck shite right there
You just say that because you don't even think about A&M
long shot but it could technically happen this year with Texas and A&M

Dude it’s math. 2-3 SEC teams is 20-30% of the league if it has just 10 teams.
How many SEC teams from the current SEC make the playoff? 4? So 25%?
It’s the same percentage.
Sure 7 leagues, each league gets in 2 to the playoffs.
14 spots

Texas Tech is the only reason I would love to see Aggie make the playoffs.
Tech vs A&M in the playoffs would be absolute cinema

Yes. But if you have 7 leagues and 16 playoff spots, the SEC would in most seasons get at least two teams into the field, and very possibly 3 some years. That would be 20-30% of the conference. I could live with that.
They aren't doing some massive restructure just to continue giving the SEC 2 spots, it'll be NFL style
Wouldn't it just be easier to give Auburn the autobid you so desperately want ?

Well the Southwest Conference was mostly a bunch of heaping garbage.. so there’s not much choice.
The only P4 team left to sub in is UCF and Memphis makes way more sense geographically. Have to put Louisville somewhere too.
Would you have preferred New Mexico?
I'd have preferred if you kept the idea in the trash until offseason where it belongs, but otherwise you sound like an old man dreaming about the good old days

Nothing says the Southwest like Louisville and Memphis !

i don't have stats so this is anecdotal or whatever, but aside from Nick Sabans rehab program for head coaches that don't coach good, the majority of fired college coaches do not succeed at other programs
there's an expansive list of re-fired coaches, and a very small list of programs happy with their re-treads
happy list
- lane kiffin (saban school)
- sarkisian (saban school)
- diaz
- im sure there's a very small list of additional coaches i missed to add here
the sad list is probably over 100 over the past 20 years , but it seems like whatever combination of fortuitous events they can't reproduce that gets them fired, leads them to getting fired again at the second level program
the odds are not good for anyone hiring jimbo , bk , or franklin
imo with the NIL world, its better to hire an up and comer, give them 3 years to see what they can do with sufficient funding, and golden handcuff them if they do well.

I just want to some sicko / toilet bowls for the bottom 12

Everyone tried to get Chris Petersen when he was at Boise.
This is probably the best historical example, everyone knew he was too big for the program it was more a question of when and where

Well we know it can't be Mizzou because you need to have a winning tradition first.
What would A&M know about a winning tradition ?
