absolutely. It worked for Auburn.

so are you going to be a doubter again after Alabama beats him, then next year he wins 8 or 9 games and yet another loss to Bama?

I did? Maybe I did, I don’t remember saying that, but if I did so what? So did most of the LSU fan base.

I like Coach O, he seems like someone you want to throw a few back with. I'm curious to see how he does without Aranda though. I think he will get a good replacement because of what I said above, people like him and will want to work for him and it's LSU. Ensminger is fine with Aranda, but what if the next guy isn't as good?

Go the 7 year, $7 Million route, GUARANTEED...

It seems like you almost can't kill LSU
It does seem like we have a rabbits foot or something that prevents us going into a pit the way other SEC teams tend to periodically.
It could just be the lack of an in-state rival that insulates us from a talent standpoint.
Then again, if Joe Burrow had won the starting job at Ohio State, I don’t think we’d be where we are now.

Let that sink in. There were so many doubters, including myself, that he would struggle to win 7 to 8 games with the schedule he was handed. The man has done a hell of a job this year.
He has definitely tell he learned from past mistakes and has gotten better as a coach. I don’t think he is an elite coach but he is better than 99% of people give him credit for.

LSU has played 1 good team and 1 decent team this year
LSU has played 7 winning teams and has two wins against current top 25 teams (1 top 5 win by 20 points).
Bama has played 2 winning teams. Aggie and Ole Miss at 5-3. Carry on.

shite, LSU should be undefeated and ranked #1 right now. There's no way we should have lost to florida. We are the better team and would beat them by 2 score's if played again. Orgeron finally has tiger nation behind him and is getting the state behind LSU. We are about to dominate Louisiana hs talent once again like it should be, then we will truly be comin. Geaux tigers.

They should give that man an extension. Right fricking now. He is truly the coach that LSU deserves.

Auburn was ranked #4 at one point this season and are now unranked. Let that sink in.

They are a well coached team who's coherent, integrated strategy is to play to the team's strengths of good D, solid running game, avoidance of TOs, smart QB who seems to be able to make some plays at crunch time, and great kickers. I was a doubter but he has pleasantly surprised.

I also appreciate that he seems to be one of the few on the LSU side acting like an adult regarding the Bama game. He's not trying to incite the crazies but is showing respect toward Alabama and Coach Saban. That's how you beat someone: acknowledge the truth including shortcomings, then work hard to overcome any that exist. Don't whine, pout and accuse. It may take a little time, but Louisiana has enough elite talent along with LSU's drawing power nationally to build the talent base back. It's good now but not what it was just 2 or 3 years ago. Solid but not elite on both LOS and at RB and WR. Elite in secondary and very good at LB. QB solid and savvy. Elite DC and solid OC. Coach O a great motivator and apparently solid elsewhere.

It amazes me that people dinigrate this man because of the way he talks
Me too, obviously it’s rude but it also shines a light on how the perception of what a HC should look like/sound like has changed. Not long ago he would be the poster child for what people would want their HC to look and sound like but now people tend to prefer a HC who presents himself as a football savant of sorts
