The only argument being made here is that Alabama sits behind the conference champs.
OK, fair enough.
Should they sit behind the Pac-12 Champion?
Should tOSU sit behind Georgia, even if Georgia loses by 3 to Auburn?
Both Bama and tOSU get way more leeway than they should ... it will be entertaining to watch this all go down.

Might swap Fresno State for MSU.

Both will be ranked, IMO. Both already currently are in the AP.

I think it's possible for Bama to make it in but unlikely. However there's still too many variable remaining via this week's games to state with any certainty either way.

They don’t belong in over Wisconsin , Oklahoma or Clemson if then win Saturday. They didn’t play a tough schedule because the SEC is down now . This is why we need to get better coaches in this conference.
What makes Bama’s resume better then Wisconsin, Clemson or Oklahoma?

Florida State about to get that big win over ULM to get bowl eligible. Probably Top 20 there.

Yes, with their schedule, I think they should if it's USC.

I don't think so, especially if Oklahoma wins. They'd both be 11-2. Georgia's losses look slightly better, but not their wins. Ohio State would also have the conference championship.

Maybe, but the committee has made the right decisions so far...

The only way Bama gets in is if TCU beats Oklahoma. Ohio State, as a conference champion, fresh off a win against the only remaining undefeated power 5 team, gets in over Bama who couldn't win their own division, let alone conference, and has only 1 win over a ranked opponent and lost to the only other one they faced.
The question isn't whether or not they are a top 4 team...sorry, it's not. The purpose of the playoff is to determine who the #1 team is and if a candidate for #1 was very recently eliminated as a possible #1, they shouldn't be there.
By your logic Auburn shouldn't even get in and Georgia shouldn't get in as well. Auburn with two loses one to LSU and the other to Clemson. BTW bama beat LSU. Georgia shouldn't get in since they lose to a 2 lose Auburn who lose to LSU. See how stupid your argument is. But by all means lets put the teams in that lose to unranked teams.

I think the politics works against them.
I still think they are better than both Wisconsin and Ohio State --- and one of those teams will be in.
But they will not put two SEC teams in.
I hope I am wrong, but I just do not see it. And it is not because I have any love for Alabama. I just think if it was fair the committee would acknowledge Alabama is a better team than Miami, Wisconsin and Ohio State.

Currently our playoff record 3-2 since we have played in all CFB playoffs and have a NC. If we were to go(doubt it) and got beat in the semis we would have an overall record of 3-3.
You've gone 3 times and come home empty handed twice. This would be a guaranteed 3rd time without hardware.
Is getting to the playoffs an accomplishment? Absolutely. But watch Bama come home empty handed for a 3rd time would be priceless.

If Wiscy loses to OSU, why shouldn't they?
