False. The purpose of the playoff series is to create three highly rated "playoff" games instead of one highly rated championship game. The winner of a "playoff" is no more assuredly the "best team" than the winner of the superior BCS system.

Well, if Wisconsin, OU win, how can the committee leave one of them out to give the Gumps a spot?

That was the whole point of the Auburn game, if Bama won they would finally have a resume

Actually it is 2 , and might be 3 if the committee puts in Fresno State at 25 like the ap did. State is still ranked in the ap and coaches, and the committee has a long history of cutting teams who lost their qb in a game a break(Clemson most recently). State will likely be in at 24.

Then how many did they score, in your imaginary world?

Yeah ... except that I've been watching everyone else as well.

It's not like Bama is miles behind any other team projected for CFP.

They are far enough behind IMO. I am a lifelong bama fan, BTW.

I agree, but wins are more important to me than losses. Bama got dominated and pushed around, by an obviously superior Aubrin team. Bama didn't dominate LSU or MSST. They are injury depleted on OL and LB, with insufficient QB play.

I called the Auburn loss after the LSU game. It was clear that Bama wouldn't beat them unless Auburn played very poorly (turnovers).

Auburn clearly is the better team. Too bad for all of my Gump friends, but hey I am sure they can buy a lot more new recruits.

Yeah they will make it. 33 year old Lincoln Riley won’t out coach Patterson with revenge.

Auburn aside ... name 3 other teams this year that you are certain would beat Bama at full strength on a neutral field.

Shame FSU decides to implode this year. That team sucking arse and choking on the hype is a huge reason Bama may get left out. Deservedly so. We haven’t really beat anyone good.

Wrong. Similar resumes, better finish by OSU, conference champion vs 2nd in the SEC West.

Bama would be the favorite "at full strength" against any team in CFP, home or away.

But we both know that they are seriously depleted on Oline and at LB and Dline. They just had another serious defensive injury Saturday. It's not a healthy or overpowering team this year.
