Do you view the Auburn football program as a national power?

Is Auburn good enough to be considered a national program?

Does the Auburn name resonate throughout the country like Notre Dame,Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss, USC, Ohio State and Michigan?

Is Auburn close to being a blue blood, just on the outside looking in?

How do you view the Auburn program?

No, but to be fair there's only a small handful of teams that actually do qualify there most of which you mentioned

we'd first have to define "blue blood" but no AU is not one

AU is a very 2 faced program. They are consistently "pretty good", with a random here or there that is elite and in title contention with other years in between where they're God awful and win like 7 games.

Basically you never know what you've got with Auburn until about midseason. If I was a betting man I would never touch AU in the preseason.

What?

And yes AU would be considered and "national power"...not a blue blood.I'd only put Bama,OSU and USC
in that category.

One of these definitely don't belong and Auburn is more relevant than a few of the others.

Thread is weak

They won a title this decade, have played for another, and was not eliminated until the post season just last year. I would say they are a national power by most people's standards.

One instance of back to back 10 win seasons in their entire history.

All of your questions depend on time frame. How many teams have been to the National Championship game more than Auburn in the past 7 years?

Its all subjective and depends on duration of time. Auburn has brought a lot of big things to college football the past 20 years. More than most programs. A few negative things but tons of positive things

But to answer your question, yes Auburn is a national program. Is it a blue blood? Probably not. Those two things are not the same.

Are they a national power? I think they’re stuck at that step just below national power status like UGA was with Richt. I would put them a step below Clemson, Bama, and Ohio State. FWIW I think UGA is walking through the door of national power status and Auburn is right behind us.

Can they be a national power? Of course they can. They need some games to break their way and put together that 2008-2009 run Bama had to build momentum. Auburn has always been great in flashes but has lacked high level consistency. If they can break that spell, they’ll get there.

That being said, Auburn isn’t a blue blood name (neither is UGA before anyone says it). Bama, Notre Dame, USC, Ohio State, and Oklahoma is rare air. Enough so that I’d say Michigan and Texas have fallen off that pedestal a bit of late. Auburn would need to go on a dynastic run to really be put in that conversation (number of teams ahead of both UGA and Auburn could make a better case right now)

No. Respectable, but not a national power.

Isn't that cute. Mississippi & Mississippi State next to each other at the bottom of a list together like normal lol. (And yes I know it's not good to be at the top)
