We need a 24 team playoff. The first weekend of the NCAA tourney isn't just about the 1 vs 16 matchup.

Yes, and the only reason is so that more post season games mean something. Bowl season used to be fun to watch, now i really only watch the playoffs.

If you make the top two teams in the country continue to play more games against teams that don’t deserve to be there…
Eventually they will lose.
Defeats the entire purpose of the BCS…
Having the top two teams play each other in a Championship game.
It also defeats the purpose of the four team playoff…
Making sure you have the top two teams in the playoffs

If we want major college football to be a national sport instead of a regional one then we need a 12 or 16 team tournament. Outside the Southeast, there is an epidemic of SEC fatigue setting in. To keep football interesting, an expanded playoff field is paramount.
