I think Texas will be pretty good if the coaching is as good as I think that they are.. I am especially excited for the defensive guys..

But Texas & Texas A&M will be built different, so TBD which strategy is better.

Texas and Oklahoma recruit very well. There is not denying that. However, in the trenches, not as much. And that is where recruiting has the biggest impact around these parts. But you will soon be getting yours, no doubt.

If you have good offensive coaching and a good quarterback these days, you can play with anyone.

I think we had 4 first rounders off of that Oline thanks to Sherman. We were also very lucky injury wise on the defensive front. We were fortunate to have a heisman trophy winner that year as well.

You don’t think LSU receivers outclassed the Texas and Oklahoma secondaries?

It all depends on how well our new coaching staff does in developing. Talent hasn't been an issue for us but development of said talent has as well as game day coaching being very turtling. Coaching is the key and the better teams in the SEC has the better coaching.

I don't know whether it will be about staying ahead or not but the goal is to win conference championships and compete for the CFB playoff. The rest will take care of itself.

Aren’t you down to less than 30% of your 2019 class?

Jimbo is recruiting at such a high level and Sark is kinda meh over there.

A&M has committed enough that they should stay ahead for the next 3-5 years

That’s an all SEC schedule. You do realize the average will work out to teams going .500 no matter the conference correct? That’s luck of the draw having a few teams with better records not on the schedule.

How many 1 loss and undefeated teams did the Big12 have in 2020?
Surely Oklahoma was undefeated or a 1 loss team correct? I mean it’s the Big12 right? That conference so strong that Texas and Oklahoma are fleeing to the SEC to guarantee an improvement in wins and losses right?

Texas has one of the best playcallers in the game in Sark. But the question is how much of his success had to do with Saban recruits?

Talent will be the easy part for Sark, it's culture that will doom him at Texas.

That and the lack of any talent on the OL/DL. A&M will be competitive everywhere except in basketball

Texas' issue for a long time now has been tripping over their own dicks because of boosters/donors trying to run the program and getting in the way of the coaches as well as being responsible for making questionable hires in the first place. Mac Brown was an outlier and was able to manage it pretty well. I think he could have been much more successful there had he not had to deal with that BS on a constant basis. It was A&M's problem for a long time as well up until the donors essentially gave Fisher a blank check and got out of the way. A&M in my opinion will stay ahead of Texas until our own admin/donors decide to once again try getting too involved with the program. It will happen at some point in the future, but hopefully not soon.

LSU wins by 50 if that game was played later in the season.

As long as TAMU has Jumbo, and Texas has a known alchoholic, I will side with TAMU. Really looking forward to seeing UTs first decent hire. Should be a better pool of candidates now that they are in a real conference.

Its going to take a while I think to get OU and UT up to snuff. Defensively they will need to be leagues better. Also in Oline.

TAMU has recognized that and put several players in the league already.

As long as they continue to win i dont see why they cant. Texas hasn't Ben worth anything in 10 years. And there's no guarantee Sark will out given their recent hiring history.

After 4 years of Mike Sheman recruiting. We were stacked on both sides of the line.

What happened after that first season? We lost key players on both sides of the line and the record showed it.

Mizzou had solid lines overall though.

The 2013 offensive line might’ve been our best ever, and we had 4 great pass rushing defensive ends

tu is entering a conference full of teams salivating at the thought of crushing them each and every week and the actual talent to do it. It’s going to be brutal for them and a lot of fun to watch.

Not tradition. But I think people are overlooking Sarkisian.

I believe he'll have them relevant nationally again very, very quickly and he'll have the players to do it. Texas booster money for NIL deals is unmatched among schools that take football seriously.
