Or does tradition finally take over down the road?

You’ve got to consider that Aggie has the advantage of SEC experience and better facilities now.

It's going to take a few years for Texas and Oklahoma to get enough depth on their lines to successfully manage an SEC schedule. After a few years of recruiting in the SEC, it will depend on the coaches each school has.

Not just depth on the lines but in the entirety of their defense. Both teams have a long way to catch up on that side of the ball.

College football is about coaching and aTm clearly has the more experienced coaching staff. Texas has one of the best playcallers in the game in Sark. But the question is how much of his success had to do with Saban recruits? Did his plays work so well because he had better athletes executing them? I'm sure the answer is somewhere in the middle. The other question about Sark is how can he recruit? Another question is if Texas boosters will be meddling. I suspect Saban would be Texas' coach if he felt like they could keep their boosters in line and give him complete control like he has at Bama. And as the Aggies have pointed out, they might need time to get deep enough in the trenches for the SEC grind. They will be stepping into the most physical division in all of college football and if they can't win at the point of attack, then they can't win enough.

Yes. The self-absorbed narcissistic culture of the Whorns is football leukemia.

Tradition of what?
Being Anti American SJWers?
For the sake of the United States, let alone college athletics, let's hope not.

Texas, Georgia, A&M and Florida should rise to the top with NIL

Rich areas of the SEC.

Didn’t Mizzou go to the SECCG their second year?

Granted it is only 2 games, but Texas didn’t seem out of class against Georgia or LSU the last couple of years. Herman did a lot of things wrong, but he made our team pretty tough imo..

I think Texas will be pretty good if the coaching is as good as I think that they are.. I am especially excited for the defensive guys..

But Texas & Texas A&M will be built different, so TBD which strategy is better.

The win loss records last year were down and a result of an all sec schedule it was a down year for many teams and is irrelevant

Why would you show the records of teams that played each other?

When mizzou won the east twice, that was when the east was terrible and in a down period. They wouldn’t have won the west , that’s back when the west had 4 top 5 teams I think

This isn't the high school schedule that you are used to. Those records are indicative of pro players beating up on themselves in an all SEC schedule. You'll learn.

Number of draft picks by conference

Sixteen conferences were represented in the selections of the 2021 NFL Draft, plus independent college football programs. The SEC led all conferences with a record 65 draft selections, ahead of the Big Ten (44) and ACC (42). Even though Notre Dame competed in the ACC last season, former Notre Dame players who were selected counted towards the independent college football programs.

1. SEC – 65
2. Big Ten – 44
3. ACC – 42
4. Pac-12 – 28
5. Big 12 – 22
6. American – 19
7. Independent – 15
T8. Conference USA – 4
T8. MAC – 4
T8. Missouri Valley – 4
T8. Sun Belt – 4
12. Mountain West – 3
T13. MIAA – 1
T13. Mountain East – 1
T13. NSIC – 1
T13. Southland – 1
T13. WIAC – 1

You won't have the benefit of playing in the East as it was at that time.

Meh, Aggie went 11-2 their first year in the conference.

If you have good offensive coaching and a good quarterback these days, you can play with anyone.

Sorry, the SEC didn't inflate their records against a bunch of Sunbelt teams.
That worked out well for the Big XII last year, didn't it?
