Do like like having an in-state rival?

Alabama/Auburn
Miss State/Ole Miss
South Carolina/Clemson
etc.

You see your in-state rivals all the time, at both work and play. Sometimes it's fun, and sometimes it's downright chippy. Do you like it?

As tough as it's been to endure another 8-4 season for the Ags, it's a pleasure to remind University of Texas fans they are not in the SEC, and haven't won a meaningful game in a long time. Deep down I respect UT. It's a solid University, but I enjoy the hell out the in-state rivalry gamesmanship. Love/hate relationships are usually the most interesting kind.

Yes.

They're the inbred sheep fricking, rednecks.

We are the well civilized city folk.

They may beat us in sport, we beat them in life.

When's the last time A&M has won a meaningful game?

Games in September and October can't count.

No, anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. Why would you like another in-state school to compete for recruits with? For example, if we were able to combine players, Mississippi would be a lock for 6-6 and a bowl every year with the chance for a real run at 3rd in the West. That'd be awesome.

I think he meant more in terms of dealing with the fellow fans in the state.

Never really had one.

LSU vs Tulane was never interesting to me. Since 1987 (when I started watching), LSU never lost to Tulane.

We always dream about LSU vs Tulane '98, but unfortunately, LSU didn't schedule Tulane that year, so we'll never know what would have happened.

Can't stand living amongst Clemson fans. They are as culty a fanbase as Aggy. I'd be happy if they all packed up and moved to GA or NC immediately.

It's not bad right now with Auburn fans. They were fricking awful from 2001-2007, then in 2010 and 2013 but right now they really can't say shite.

I liked it a lot more a couple years ago. Haven't been too keen on it lately. It's just different than other rivals who don't share a state. There is no getting away from it 365 days a year. Sure made that five year winning streak glorious, but last couple of years have reminded me why I hate everything about Clemson.

It's not bad. It's like having a little brother who finds Jesus every time he goes to rehab. You don't want him around him around your kids when he's dirty, but he's annoying as hell when he's clean.

Mostly you just wish he'd grow up and get his act together.

What about when they remind you that the only hardware your fans have ever seen your team win, aside from SWC championships, is one Big 12 title in a 3 loss season?

I like it. Would get pretty boring without a rival to f with. It's all in good fun.

Wouldn't mind being the only in state school for recruiting reasons though.
