You see your in-state rivals all the time, at both work and play. Sometimes it's fun, and sometimes it's downright chippy. Do you like it?

frick uga.

They should be grateful we brought a MNC to the state...they damn sure can't do it.

Eh, as an A&M fan it's cool not having to deal with it

Having an in state rival is alright, except when one of those Cambacks or Kick 6's occur.

LSU vs Tulane was never interesting to me. Since 1987 (when I started watching), LSU never lost to Tulane.

I really wish we'd schedule them again. I hate playing McNeese, Southeastern, northwestern state, UL but not Tulane.
It wouldn't be much of a rivalry, just another little instate step sister to wipe our arse with

As tough as it's been to endure another 8-4 season for the Ags, it's a pleasure to remind University of Texas fans they are not in the SEC, and haven't won a meaningful game in a long time. Deep down I respect UT. It's a solid University, but I enjoy the hell out the in-state rivalry gamesmanship. Love/hate relationships are usually the most interesting kind.

Does it still count as a rivalry if you haven't played in years?

Yes, as a Missouri State alum, I look forward to the first meeting with Mizzou since 1923. Back then we were The Missouri State Teachers College.

We lost 10-0.

Next year, we shall drink their milkshake.

I never knew Louisville and Kentucky had the rivalry love/hate thing. Pretty cool

Yeah, we played a little basketball game just last night.

It's fun seeing the nerdy Tech fans make fun of the dumb UGA fans

The best advantage is when a coach sucks, they typically have a shorter leash due to the competition. Look at LSU and Miles and how he rode them to an easy paycheck.

Man, if Clemson and SC pulled a UT/A&M and quit playing this whole state would explode.
There are some good folk who wear all that orange, living up in Clemson country, I know. But there are some who should stick to sheep sex and rallying around the statue of Tillman and stay off the internet.

Weren't we supposed to schedule SLU?

Not sure what happened there.

I agree. LSU-Tulane is a tradition I'd like to see renewed.

The size of the villain determines the size of the hero. I like having an in-state rival. Like fighting the evil empire. Just like in movies, the good guys wear white hats.

It's actually quite funny.

But both fanbases are inbred sheep fricking rednecks.
Us just a little less.

Yeah. But tbh, as an East, Tennessean I've always thought of UK as out in-state rival. Vanderbilt is def. one we hate to lose too tho but outside of mid-state/Middle, TN peeps I haven't met many who cared aside from those rare occasions we lose to them. UK, OTOH, we've always had a two sport rivalry, share most of our border with them and used to have a trophy that desperately needs to come back.

The linebeards at Whorehopper U are a paranoid bunch. They are still whining about UK's "unfair advantage" as the flagship school in the Commonwealth. Since their promotion to P5 status, some of their collective insecurity has faded but it's still fun to listen to them on their call-in shows and read their forums. You'd think a UK mafia was trying to undermine their school and its programs.

You're describing Auburn fans perfectly with their REC paranoia.

In Mississippi, its pretty close to half. Ole Miss fans kinda get butthurt a little easier and really have to watch what you say or they will spray graffiti on DWS.
