5 RS SR who all played last year is a question mark?

There’s enough there to form an opinion

Meh. Lets see if they have learned anything. Experienced, non talented players are no better when they get more time

Hope they play well this year and mesh. We could use a running game to keep the pressure off the young QB's

5 RS Srs who all played last year and looked soft as hell more times than not. Even with experience, they still aren’t proven to be able to play at an SEC level yet. And Gus absolutely has to have a stout Oline or his scheme sputters and is inconsistent.

I am skeptical of this Oline. I did think they looked better towards the end last year, but still not where they need to be if AU really hopes to make some kind of good run this year.

That being said, I don't think we really know about the offense until the Texas A&M game. I think OR v AU will be an offensive shite show full of sloppy play and miscommunication (that we still win.) but the offense will show what it is in that hostile environment against Jimbo's boys --- for better or worse.

Yes, and the consensus opinion is that they are a question mark

Agree. Hopefully a full year in the weigh room, with no injuries, and a year with Grimes has them better prepared. Last years o-line was the worst I think I’ve seen under Gus.

We know Grimes isn't a great recruiter, but I think he's a pretty good teacher.

Athlon is not as high on their OL as most. Although ranked #10, that is behind #1-UGA, #2-Bama, and #9-Missouri. Missouri?

Uh, I'd take a top 10 OL in a heartbeat

That would be huge for our chances this season

I've heard Gus will be unveiling the "Cord Cat" formation, with Auburn's 3rd string QB taking the direct snap with Gatewood and Nix both the field for jet sweeps and reverse passes.

I hope so. And I hope he breaks it out for the Tulane game.

I've been burned by Gus and his mickey mouse offense far too many times so I'm already a full tilt melt until we manage to look somewhat coherent on offense, this is my prediction:

If Hastings and Stove stay healthy. If not, then we are reduced to Seth Williams as the only playmaker. Save for one miraculous catch vs. Washington, Sal Canella can't catch a cold. And Jackson, Hill, et.al cant get open.

I think it's because of his identity crisis, struggling to figure out whether he wants to be Paul Wall 2.0 or a stereotypical Italian WOP/Guinea.

Hill

Apparently doing the best out of the second team receivers, which isn't saying much.

Especially if we can't run the ball early, like what happened vs. Washington. I knew watching that game that we had some fundamental problems in the O-line that would haunt us all year. Boobee needs to have a big big game for us to have a chance vs. Oregon.

jimdog is't reddog. Reddog was a former Alabama player. Jimdog is a former Alabama booster.

Think Travis Carroll.

You have no clue what you're talking about. You said two of the strongest units on the offense (T and WR) are weak spots. The WR unit has been banged up so far in camp, but wev got some solid depth there. And the interior of the line was the weak area of the OL but showed a lot of improvement late in the season last year.

I just found 4 Waffle House napkins with what looks like plays drawn on them, if anyone sees Gus tell him I found his playbook
