Coach O really and nothing to do with this at all. Story just found a weird way to put his name in the article for clicks because the truth is, the LSU piece of shits most responsible for burying this are gone, so the article needed a big name for clicks
Both incidents happened well before Coach O was head coach
So you had Miles, Alleva, and F king as those in charge at time the incidents were reported
And considering the AD and President were notified, even Miles seems hard to blame

What's with you having LSU on your mind so much? You're a Texas fan aren't you?

How do we know it wasn't the boyfriend complaining about the alleged assault and that's how O found out through the grapevine?
The boyfriend didnt complain about it, he also said he steered clear of Guice.
Guice was bragging about it

Other football players at the party told her that Guice had talked about having sex with her.

Why is this news now? August 2020 and we see an article about a rape that allegedly happened 4 fricking yrs ago? WTH?

Miles was HC at the time.
Orgeron was on staff, correct and became interim HC in 2016 and was HC in 2017, which would align with the “about a year after the incident” timeline?

Did it say that he didn't complain about it with others in the article?

True, but maybe someone asked him why he always steered clear of him.

Immediately after. Not a year or so after that O spoke with him.
I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying we don't know much about the situation and we're all just making assumptions about how O found out.

I can think of many reasons.
The biggest one being when the woman was finally off campus and felt safer.
Can you imagine being outed as being the reason a star player is in jail? A lot of fans and students would immediately think you're lying. You wouldn't be safe on campus.

And filled with hearsay and no evidence or police records, so the timing of this seems odd.

Well I mean rape is a huge allegation. If true, why the hell wouldn’t you go to the police?
Posted on 8/19/20 at 8:06 am to lsupride87
And yet LSU booted Peter Parrish who is accusing of LSU not giving him his due process
Why would you sue NCAA and not LSU
In late June, the former tennis player joined seven other women in a lawsuit against the NCAA, seeking damages for sexual assaults they say they suffered at the hands of male athletes. The lawsuit was originally filed in April in federal court, then refiled in May in state court in Ingham County, Michigan.

You serious? It is a pretty well established fact that many rape victims won't go to the police at all, let alone immediately after it happened.
Whether it's because of shame or embarrassment, fear of not being believed by the authorities, or fear of straight up retribution from the rapist, etc.
There are plenty of reasons why it doesn't happen.
ETA: And this is true for any rape victim, let alone one that is accusing a star football player at a big time football program.

It sounds like Guice is a bad dude, and there's a good chance these claims are true, that being said, what exactly do people expect coaches to do with an allegation like this that is not pursued legally? Suppose Guice was kicked off the team or even expelled based on these victims claims to coaches. If there was no legal complaint or formal investigation, Guice would have grounds to sue LSU. Public institutions cant take disciplinary action based on unsubstantiated accusations.
LSU, as a school, probably needs to do an internal investigation into their institution to root out the chilling culture they apparently have that would cause a nurse to tell a victim that their attacker is probably untouchable. because that is INSANE.

That last part doesn’t sound good.
It also doesn’t sound believable. If Orgeron knew about the incident from before he was coach and also knew it wasn’t consensual, he doesn’t just go up to someone and say that.
I’ll wait and see what Coach O says before I judge, though.

He wasnt a star player at the time. He was a freshman and Fournette was still there.

Look at Florida State under Jimbo for an example of why going to police with allegations against a football player is difficult.
